So, I am looking to make a brood of Ymgarl genestealers, and I have seen them contantly made up as having these little tentacle heads. Does anyone know if those come in the standard genestealer box, or even the battleforce, or are they separate and I need to go hunting for them?

I believe that there is a limited number (maybe just one) in the genestealer box. People probably used a bits seller/swap shop etc. to acquire a bunch of them.

You could try these from Vic minis. They may be a little more suited for guardsmen but they may be workable on some genestealers.

Oh hell yeah.

You don't get many Cthulhu heads in the genestealer box, so this kit is the one I've got my eye on. Going through bit sites means paying a premium sometimes (the tentacle heads are the most popular). This kit not only gives you tentacle heads, but so variation in the models.

Well, for my stealers, I just used the range of heads to make them look like they are mutating all the time, like the fluff says.

My thing that threw me off was that it mentions their tentacle heads being used to suck out blood, so I thought I was more or less oblidged to find those tentacle heads.

Yeah, they are mainly the tentacle heads but it does also say that the mutate quickly, so I just liked to make them different like they are mid mutation. I also added little bits and pieces to the claws aswell to emphasise the fact they mutate all the time.

Hmm, fascinating. I might just consider something like that in case all else fails. But first: the most daring assignment awaits. Got to track down a guy's cousin who runs Tyranids and find out if he does just happen to have some of those Ymgarl heads amongst his spare bits.

Hehehe, I've played that game before...

Something else I wanted to do was mess around with the arm bits and such for the mutations of each turns bonus. Wasn't sure how I was going to do it yet.

Claws, tentacles, and carapace. GS for the carapace is easy, probably some wire work for the tentacles... idk, gotta work it over.
