60mm!
That's a rather odd, and big, size...

The Tick: Everybody was a baby once, Arthur. Oh, sure, maybe not today, or even yesterday. But once. Babies, chum: tiny, dimpled, fleshy mirrors of our us-ness, that we parents hurl into the future, like leathery footballs of hope. And you've got to get a good spiral on that baby, or evil will make an interception. |

It would be great as a 28mm model, but at 60mm it's competing with a lot of much crisper, more detailed sculpts.
And yeah, there's definitely something odd going on with her thighs.

First glance it's nice but i agree that the details are extremely soft and lack definition.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

I agree about the soft details. At first, I thought it was a decent plastic model. But then I read it was resin.

She looks like someone asked her to hold this severed head "just for a moment" while they went to the bathroom. Now it's been 10 minutes, and getting more and more awkward...

I am mostly bothered by the scale. Why 60 mm? I'd rather seen this at 28-32 mm, just my 2 cents worth of thought, though.

Some of the detail is a little soft, but I still think it's a pretty attractive model. For all the talk about soft details I doubt I would have much trouble painting it., and i'm sure once I did it would look fine.
Honestly, while crisp detail is super important (and this model could use some more work), I think that Dakka sometimes makes too big a deal about it, especially when looking for faults in an otherwise pretty okay miniature.
Or to put it another way, having one or two people mention that the detail is a little soft is just fine. Nothing wrong with that. It's a valid and helpful insight. Having 6 or 7 people mention it in a row ... did you guys really feel like you were adding to the conversation?

Yeah - I agree it would be quite a nice little 28mm miniature ... if it weren't for that oddly floating head.
I love the description though:
Dark Gray is our first character of the whole magic miniature world. She is an orphan adopted by Queen and also raised to become number one swordswoman She is faithful to the Queen. She has a little secret. Nobody knows. Even the Queen. You will find that secret in our later characters.
"You know... the whole magic miniature world thing-a-ma-jiggy".
Also
Dark Hammer Miniature is developing delicate relationships between Hunter, Monster, The Orcs , Gunner, Warlock ,Vampires, Ruler, and many more awesome character. We want to bring people of collector /gamer systemic magic world in miniature .
That just reads like they're spamming meta tags. Vampires! Twilight! Boutique! Kingdoms! Deaths! Monsters!

Was my first thought.. but that might be too much exposure to 4Chan.

CLASSIC rookie mistake here. If you're gonna hold a severed dwarf head, ya gotta wear pants. Or possibly an apron. I mean, seriously, how does it make a lick of sense to spend hours rubbing moisturizer into your soft, silky thighs, only to completely de-cheesecake them because you got Dwarf spine drippings on them?
That, and well, it's bad enough when you get your own hair caught in your incongruous battle thong. When it's dead-dwarf beard hair, well, that's just nasty.

The detail seems pretty terrible if that is indeed 60mm scale. It looks very soft, especially the faces, hair and chestplate. The boobs seem unnaturally oversized considering her frame, which unfortunately is to be expected in this industry. The thigh/hip strapping and g-string also makes not much sense.

The first shot: the neck is very far forward, which is what makes the "waiting" look, since her posture isn't perfect,.
This is then slightly exaggerated by weird breast anatomy (not enough meat above them connecting to upper chest/torso). I think this was a translation problem as, in the render thumbnail, her anatomy looks less strange.
The sword arm, which is extended a little, probably for composition and/or casting, then looks a little out of place as, with a resting neck, you'd probably also have a resting arm.
I think the big forehead is sylistic, feels like a lot of fantasy illustrations.
Also, I think there are a few flaws, but it's a perfectly reasonable first mini for a company. I think that's just some dakka flak...
