Hi again,

And the effect of the “Agisfication” on a Heavy Support Squad. Again bases changed, transfers applied, banner repainted, metal effects added, some retouches here and there.
BTW - I have to say that Peters Light effects are absolutely top notch, he even takes into account that the targeting system of the 2 running Marines are still unlit! Very nice details and clever posing.

And a mini painted all by myself...
Apothecary Crassus in his Mk IV Armour, please note the squad number “728” on the Geneseed tube. Crassus is currently assigned to Tactical Squad 728.

WIP - Tactical Support Squad. Peter sold me a 10 Marine Tactical Squad using the 40K Codex. Consequently he included 1 Meltagun and a Heavy Plasma Cannon. The melta Marine is the nucleus of a Tactical Support Squad.

Of all 3 versions of the Marine Land Speeder I always like the chunky full metal 2nd edition one the most. Since I still had one around I bribed Peter to paint one for me.

Splendid work from him as usual, I only had to apply some transfers do some some weathering and the basing. The original Flamer broke off during transport which pushed me into the right direction to mount and paint a Heavy Bolter.

More as usual: http://www.adpublishing.de/html/emperors_children.html

I always felt the Deathguard in the Heresy had so much potential. Flight was also one of my favorite books in the series so far.

Hey, AAN. Your pics made me create a profile here just to say how awesome they are. They're such an inspiration. Could I ask how you get the weathering around the feet of the infantry and bottom of the vehicles?

Big thanks Mikes!

The weathering is done with MIG pigments, I am brsuhing some pigments on and then seal it with the Pigment Fixer.
Gives also a very nice matt finish.

After that some brown and/ or black small dots here and there and all is done.

Awesome, thank you! I'm new to the whole idea of pigments, but seeing what you've done with them have convinced me to give them a try.

This is universally wonderful. I love the understated palette you've used on all the 30k stuff. Muted but not dull.

And your Thallax guys are a quantum leap beyond mine. *Sob*

I love the Death Guard and the Thallax. If I had the time and money, I would start a HH DG army myself, because the miniatures are amazing and I love the color scheme.

And more Mechanicus...
After posting my Thallax minis I was a bit unhappy with the look of my older minis, so some retouching was required.

...and also the story how I used them all as Redemptionist in a Sister of Battle army.

Love those classic models. I'm using one of the LRs to make a gun servitor. Worked out pretty well.
