Masochism would imply self torture. EA got their money already..user forums are blowing up with folks complaining and wanting their money back. It's reaching critical mass worldwide

I think it being Origin exclusive and requiring constant internet connection is putting me off getting this Simcity. I like the look of it, but what's with these always online games and their servers dying for about the first week at launch.
At least it got a very nice looking multiplayer aspect to it. There's some vids of a playthrough down in the video game section. The filmer's friend had no residential in his city pretty much while the guy filming had a bunch of it. As soon as his firend finally added residential to his city, thousands just walked out of their houses got in their cars and drove off to the highway as one big long snake of cars.
Yeah it's amazing what the game can do. Despite Internet reports, Origin is just the delivery/authentication mechanism, the real problem is with EA's (lack of) server architecture and planning. Now that it has launched in Europe, and they've added more servers, maybe it'll start to work properly.

Yeah, it's finally working!- But saturday we went to a LEGO show in Indianapolis, yesterday we watched the Walking Dead and built LEGO on our coffee table that we finally got for the purpose. Needless to say, I spent my hobby budget and splurged a bit more on a very large LEGO set ..A Technological Terror, so to speak

seems you´ve been quite busy^^... we... we´ve been spending money on a fleamarket...again^^... tho... some useful bitz have been aquired...as usual^^...
aye... tho i probably would b bursting of joy if i ever found actual warhammer stuff there... which has never happened to me...ever... and i´ve read of this from peeps here... tho these were brits and americans and probably from your side of the world too
According to this article you should be able to get a free game from EA as compo for the hassle... Nice to see a company who actually take their customers seriously...
Yeah, I saw that, it's pretty decent of them, although they should've known all those pre-orders would try to play at the same time
@Vik- so far it still looks pristine in it's huge shipping box Not my pic, but Ladygeek says you should've seen the look on my face carrying this giant box I used the money I loaned to the Federal Government interest-free in 2012

I'm gone for a couple weeks and this thread is (1) on page 28, and (2) so far OT that I think a rift in the time / space continuum opened and it is actually 2011 again.
There's no way I'll be able to dig through all that, so I'll just keep up from here.
I want to see a Hobbit w/ a Railway Rifle! Get to it!

i was glued to a plexi glass display at our biggest department store in berlin... they had the kit fully built in that dome...for everybody to gobble at...and boy we did gobble^^
also... did i tell you my wife and kids and me bought a year ticket for the lego discovery centre here in berlin?
the last two times we´ve been there it was these star wars events...
(well the second even got cosplayers...but they´ve ruined the scenery then quite a bit...)
the last quotes escaped me... as i saw the movie only in german... i thought i woulnd´t get that british humor in english^^... seems i have to review it again^^
No, you didn't tell me, but that's really great! Our nearest one is in Chicago, with a minifig-scale model of downtown Chicago.

Vik, you come out with some corkers - double entendres everywhere
Dave - man am I jealous, we've got a Lego store in the local shopping centre (Bluewater) and there's an empty box on the shelf for that glorious and expensive model- it's been mauled by many hands and much the worse for wear, but I always gravitate to it - that and the Millenium Flacon, R2D2 and all the other Star Wars goodies... Thw wife would never let me buy that unless we were to win the lottery... Will have to take a visit to Legoland Windsor when the sun decides to show its self (we have snow at the moment - snow in mid March for feths sake, it's supposed to be Spring with Easter round the corner... I nearly didn't make it home tonight, the roads in the South east are crazy slippy, including the main A roads and mortorways..)
BTW, does your death star have a canteen, where Darth Vader can chill...

@ Vik, keep scouring the flea markets mate... I found a still-wrapped original starter set for mordheim last time i went, for just 5 euros... the guy was askin 20, but because i'm a fan i got it cheap, he wanted to be sure it was going to be used. And it is... the skaven are being necropocofied as we speak
Eh...
Inmygravenimage: That's sweet dude. I bet her ass is bad...
Camkierhi - What a load of rubbish... Amazing!
Rogue Wolves - Its rediculous how much character you pack into those guys
Skalk Bloodaxe: I know those will be awesome when finished, but right now they look like crackers.
Necro-pocalypse weirdness:
