@ Vik, keep scouring the flea markets mate... I found a still-wrapped original starter set for mordheim last time i went, for just 5 euros... the guy was askin 20, but because i'm a fan i got it cheap, he wanted to be sure it was going to be used. And it is... the skaven are being necropocofied as we speak
i guess it is related to the status of the hobby... really... whatever your stereotypes of that hobby are... i´ve seen always peeps in the shops that freak out at the sight of a woman... for this reason i go as often with my wife inside such shops... the guys here freak out and my wife feels somewhat spooked and approved ...
and on fleamarket the most i´ve yet seen was some heroclix of LotR... nothing more... a crying shame...^^

Automatically Appended Next Post: As far as the Death Star build...I'm nearing the end of Bags 2/3 from box 1/4! -This is going to be a very large, very long, very satisfying build! It's got the most minifigs of any non-minifig specific set ever, AND the only Ultimate Collector's Edition set that has playability. I'll take a WIP tonight so you can see, I think the Trash Compactor will be done by the time I get to bags 3/3.
I'm at about 1:09 in this video- although, I don't know where this person is getting the turntable base from, perhaps later in the instructions? Perhaps he/she built it specifically to keep the build in one place for the video? It would be very useful at this stage to have that nice solid base. As you can see, the floors are three plates thick, very solid! It needs to be to support the upper weight.

You'd better hurry, I'd bet it's almost on it's way out of production.
They never announce a set going OOP, it's just out of stock on their website one day, then it sort of fades away.
That happened to me with the Imperial Flagship set, I wanted it for a long time, then one day, it was suddenly out of stock, luckily I found one on Amazon that was still in stock and before the profiteers raised the price 100%

i told that my wife too... and she actually is half willing to get all of us the set... probably an all family one haul early christmas present... atm i am playing the devils advocate... my work atm is not as stable and fulfilling as i like...and such big "needless" buys would come out of my purse rather than draw money away from the essential stuff...

the light up lightsabe is according to the lego minifig referrence book (my kids use this as a bible^^) oop...didn´t knew there were still some out there...
by the way... i am also hesitant of that deathstar buy as we have still a tiefighter lego set in our bedroom stored in the cupboard...soon oskar has his fifth birthday and he just loves tiefighter pilots...

Mine is just LEGO. But when you push his head down, his lightsaber lights up...
Yeah, I don't know if you can replace the battery. I've had this one years, but with minimal usage it does still work.

lol... yeah... that tiefighter was a three in one set... you gotta love these... the sandskiff, tiefighter and the droppod... for 70€s all together... that was a bargain and a half... tiefighter is usually alone 40€s
That sounds like a great deal! Were they all still in the boxes, sealed? Speaking of great deals, I found a Badger Sotar 2020 Airbrush on Amazon for $75!!- It's the Cadillac of the Badger line, normally priced over $300! I don't need it really, but I couldn't pass up the deal.
