I normally don't pay too much attention at all to Orks, but my golly the execution of the painting on these models is absolutely first-class.

Color combinations are perfect, balance of different colors in different areas on each model is perfect, picking out detail and highlight is perfect, it participates with the major colors instead of fighting with them, metal effects and textures are awesome.

There's so much depth and dimension in these guys, terrific stuff. I've not seen Orks done up these properly. Excellent.

Wow. Great work. It is a strange thing to see Orks doen with such care as people normally have to paint up a whole bunch to even get a basic army so opt for a more simple paint scheme. Are you just painting what you like or do you have plans for them?

These were supposed to be part of my 40k ork army which is in the 'waiting' stage. At the moment, it is Dark Eldar for Adepticon 2013!

There is a story already built for this ork army... it is tied to my Sisters of Battle army. I even have 2 scratch built battle wagons under way :-)

Every single figure in the army gets painted the same way, down to the lowliest grot! That's always the policy. When I started on the army, 5th edition had just come out, and I ended up not liking that edition. Went to WFB instead, until 8th edition, which made me turn to LOTR...

My story for the army was going to explain why they were obsessed with painting all their stuff (and even themselves) blue. I'll get to that tomorrow. In the meantime, I will post some more pics in an hour or so!
