I love it.
Red and white always remind me of an ambulance but hey, that's the encarmine way. The beaky helmet is very fitting for an assault captain, and the orange for the fists are great.

The painting is so sharp I thought it was a photoshop render of a possible paint scheme.

That is top notch. A truly great paint job and pin sharp too! I have always wondered though, do you Commision type dudes ever just paint something for yourselves?

I think the Angels Encarmine have a white Death Co instead of the traditional black....so maybe he will use them in that capacity. Clean work, white is obviously a pain to paint, but I love the depth you gave the armor with the blue shading.

For a second there I thought the first pic was a painting of a marine, not an actual figure!
Really bold, striking scheme and beautifully smooth paintjob, I love it.

I keep getting the feeling that the Marine is saying, "Hey, you over there! You talking to me? I don't see anyone else, so you must be talking to me!"

Great great work! I never thought of shading a white figure with blue, but if you don't mind, I'll go and try that out!

I love the armor, not 100% sold on the fists, they're kinda incongruent with the rest of the paint job.

Iv thought about making an army for myself, Im not sure what i want to play though. Its a toss up between blood angels, night lords, dark eldar, death korps.

Good luck. I used very very thin asurmen blue. Full or even half strength washes tend to stain and ruin white.

The client liked this first model alot and it's inspired him to do an army in this scheme. They are not going to be angels encarmine, they are a blood angels detachment charged with finding the cure for the black rage. The army will have lots of apothecaries and apothecary bits for fluff reasons.

The first model will be the captain of his air forces and this second one will be captain of the ground forces.

ill update this thread with more as i finish them.
