What's up with Loken's armor color? I was under the impression after they changed to Sons of Horus it was more a white/pale green--that almost looks turquoise?

The models look great. But come on, a space marine captain wielding a chain sword? Every terminator has a power weapon of some kind, Abbaddon has two, but none for Loken....

Did Abbaddon already have a lightning claw in that final fight? I didn't think he did. Either way the models look cool. I'll be picking up one at Adepticon.

Well, Abaddon's the head of the Justaerin Terminators, and they already wear black. Loken's a part (though former as of Istvaan III) of the Mournival iirc, some other elite advisory group in the Sons of Horus, so you could say they wear black too. Furthermore, I doubt there was any paint available on Istvaan III for any loyalists to do serious repainting, so other than scratching off the horus symbols, which FW wouldn't do for a showcase mini, they're actually pretty accurate.

When they changed the legions name from Luna Wolves to Sons of Horus, they changed the color of their uniforms. This is mentioned briefly in Galaxy in Flames (3rd HH Book).

His green armor might be slightly darker than the standard marines because he's a member of the Mournival and/or a Chapter Captain.

The Luna Wolves (and Horus') armor was originally white. After they became the Sons of Horus it became green. Horus got the black armor later after he fell as a gift from the Mechenicum as a sign of their loyalty.

That is correct, but the green armor for the Sons of Horus in the HH FW book is a lighter green than Loken has in this picture. Artistic License, I suppose. He is a Chapter Master/Captain after all.

I think this model is a nice solution to the current terrible Abaddon. That claw/fist could pass for either.

Well, if Abaddon is supposed to be a clone of Horus, then we know, at least in part, whay Horus' face will be.

My original projections were that it would take 9 years for FW to create all of the primarchs. I'm now updating that to 18. years.

I had waffled a bit on whether to buy from an alternate source (kabuki models). Seems I was justified as FW doesn't want my money.

Newest WD have pic of a recon sniper marine in Mk IV, and a Thallax that is still wip. I'm sure someone can snag a pic, but if not by Sunday I'll do it then.

Don't like the Thallax much. They're not meant to be Legio Cybernetica, they're meant to be cyborg soldiers. The artwork I've seen for Skitarii was more along the lines of what I was imagining.

When I first saw the pic I thought it was a Wraithguard.

I think the Thallax looks great, but not very Imperial. The recon soldier looks like a brilliant model though.

FW finished their Wardrone before GoA did, further embarassment!

The Thallax seems to have ED-209 legs and feet...

What is a thallax? Is it some kind if troop, is it in the HH book?

That Thallax looks weird. I like it! Few more cables here and there and bunch of lenses on the face and it will be perfect.

Also, I really hope that FW will give us Ad Mech list that makes these usable in 40K as well.

Needs more cogs n tubes to be identifiable as AdMech.
