Wow! I love those bikes! I've never really liked the standard SM bike, too chunky and square, but those look the bees.

Dammit FW, every time I see the words Mk IV in one of your emails I get this terrible ache in my wallet!

Well, you could buy 5x lots of Plasma and Melta from GW for years now, but these are better looking.

It's becoming increasingly clear, if you want guns, FW is actually taking the weapon bit market seriously. If you're playing an MEQ army, and even Guard, to a point (required a little more conversion effort), FW is the best place to get bunches of weapons.

Only real problem I have is since they want the guns to be universal, usable by all MEQ kits, all the heavy weapons have that odd not-boltgun carrying piece they hold on to. I know it's supposed to be a kind of targeter, or the anti-grav hardware for heavy weapons so they're easier to use, but really, they just look like little boltguns strapped on top.

Those bikes are really nice and are actually quite similar in aesthetic to the Puppets War ones. Interestingly, with the release of these assault weapon packs, do we think there'll suddenly be a plethora of these 'relic weapons' on the tabletop? Certainly beats trawling bits sites for £2 + meltaguns etc.

Bikes are pretty nice, and that FW terrain is gorgeous (wife pointed out that it would make cool House Harkonnen (sp?) stuff for a skirmish game), but wow is that expensive...

Loving the bikes! Like sockwithaticket said, they are very similar in appearance to the Puppets War ones. Wonder what they are inspired by? The old epic bike perhaps?

Whatever the case I actually like them more than the normal bikes, just a shame about the price tag!

Well, true, but the FW set is slightly less than 150% the cost for 200% of the gear.

Also, the FW are better looking than the GW ones. By far!

And probably don't need the rear stock of the gun chopped off for it to fit on half the gun arms.

This is a resin and plastic kit so technically, they are the GW ones... with conversion bits. Still, I do like them better. My problem is that I have so many of the GW bikes that I'm not sure what to do. I guess it's time to put my stash up on eBay.

One problem I see is that there doesn't appear to be any "cool" way of putting on the Ravenwing banners and bits.

Too many people talking about different things and switching back and forth too fast got me tripped up there. Sorry about that. Not really sure if I agree about the FW plasma/melta gun comments but having assault cannons for my Devestators seems like a cool idea. It'd be better if I could fit the ammo feed into the current heavy bolter backpack though.

Really? It doesn't look Chaosy. I guess ... maybe with a cultist? To me, sitting a SM on it makes it look a little BMX-ish compared to the ChunkHawg Sm usually ride. A cultist or other normal human might make the model feel more substantial.

I dunno. I don't like the whole Spikes and Horns theme for Chaos. I like the aesthetic much better.

My army will be more Renegade than Chaos. Most of my Chaos will look like the following, unless they have aligned with Tzeentch or are actual Daemons. My basic Chaos Space Marines will have the horns, but that's about it.

So basically you prefer the Loyalist look? Or am I missing something?

Yes. I suppose it's more accurate to say "I'm putting Renegades on it" than Chaos.

Right now my CSM list is made (and my work desk full), so I might wait until I do an Imperial Fists HH army to get these, anyway.

I've been going back and forth since I saw these today.

I sympathize, actually -- at least as far as Emperor's Children go. I'd much rather do an pre-HH army than a M42 version of them.

Yeah. Agreed on the EC. I also like the HH World Eaters look much more than the Berzerkers.

Not a fan of the HH Rampager Squads, though.

Jiminy Christmas I wish another company would come along with the quality of GW but better business sense. Any independently wealthy venture capitalists out there that want to fund DreamForge? Please?

Weird: Puppet's War Heavy Motorcycles are not available anymore (8.50 € per bike).

Yeah, I just went looking for Puppetwar's bikes and could not find them... though I prefer the FW ones.

I prefer the Puppetswar bikes. Hell, I would even prefer the current plastic SM bikes to these legion bikes.

Im quite keen on those new bikes, at least i was until i saw they were £20 each !

You're basically paying $15 US per bike for the conversion kit.
