Really random question, that is kind of relevant because its to do with a piece of terrain I'm building - anyone know what the Spanish word/equivalent is for something like 'captain' or 'commander'? Specifically, for someone like the kind of rank you would get in the US Airforce or Navy of someone who flies fighter jets? Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Capitan is captain. Think "la bamba" from Los Lobos. Cheezy, but effective mnemonic.

Have you tried checking Wikipedia for the rank track? I used it a lot for designing my Heralds. I definitely saw a comparison of modern Western rank tracks in it somewhere.

Haha yes that was my first thought. But, I didn't want to try what I was thinking of, then get a bunch of Spanish people commenting saying, "yes nice idea, but that's the wrong word for that" *

* On second thoughts, that is extremely unlikely to happen, and doesn't really matter even if it does!
