Subject: WIP Chaos Land Raider - Need CC on how to improve it.
It is far too clean for my personal tastes, so I would weather it quite a bit. Add some gore splatters here and there. I would also drill out the heavy bolter barrels. Beyond that it looks nice.

There's a few places on the bone/off white areas where it looks like the wash (I assume they've been washed) has pooled, the most noticeable being on the Lascannon housing in the second pic. Otherwise a pretty neat job.

Any have tips on good weathering? I'm pretty bad at that. :(
The tracks and your left door.
Weathering can be achieved by drybrushing. A little boltgun metal (or other dark metallic pain) drybrushed along the edges helps as a starter. You can also gouge the model a bit with an extco to show where bullets have winged it, there is a few other tricks too but those are the simplist.

I drybrushed the edges in metal. -_-
I should add some then, on the relevent areas.

Agreed. Its painted well...but because of it looking so clean, it resembles more of a imperium look rather than chaos. I think more spikes along the top were needed...and of course, some heavy weathering

I have to agree with the majority that it is a bit clean for Chaos. The weapons look good other than I would drill out the barrels on the bolters. The tan looks great!
If you take a fine point hobby knife and turn it like a drill bit, adding some jagged edging, you can create clinks in its armor where it took damage from like an autocannon or heavy bolter. It's easy to paint and create a transformation as you can generally use washes instead of having to repaint the entire area. This should makeup for the lack of spiky bits, and if you have any skull bits in your kit, you can always glue them into the bullet holes.
Check out this neat video on YouTube if you want a visual and more details:
The resulting bullet holes, where on his model are white, can be dry bushed with mechrite red and scorched brown (or maybe a black) on yours if you want a variation that also matches your paint scheme.

Also, that one, because the battle damage was done after paint, which is the point where you're at.
I like that video tutorial on bullet holes. I may attempt this technique with some of my IG vehicles. I think it may benefit that Chaos vehicle greatly as the scars of battle definitely show the environment of Chaos dwellers and their many years of service since there is a lack of the usual skulls and spiky bits. May even produce a back story in that it is a new arrival to chaos after a recent pirate raid on Imperial shipping (thinking Red Corsairs here).
