It's been 50 days since he received your stuff.

You need to make it explicitly clear that if you do not receive your stuff back, or the agreed upon trade by X date that you will be filing a police report.

You need to work at the police report, they won't want to take it (because it's going to be a pain) but you will be able to get a detective to take it.

Get the detective's details and the number for the case.

Then contact the police department in the jurisdiction of the thief, go through the rigmarole again.

If two of you do this and you have the person's name and their address then the detective in that jurisdiction has a lot more details to work with, and 2 cases now, not one (looks better for the clearance rate).

Ideally include photos of the things you sent.

Keep at it, contact them once a week/fortnight to check progress.

While I doubt two incidents will go as far as federal mail fraud charges, you can equally file the information with them to add any extra weight to the situation.

I texted with him yesterday and he indicated he had no money to mail anything. So, I guess nothing got mailed. I did suggest mailing stuff back even cash on delivery, but no response so...

The excuse of not having money to mail anything is as old as dirt, and I have yet to ever see it be true. If you're thinking of contacting the police, you should probably go ahead and do so, given that he is apparently not shipping (due to lack of funds, or whatever the supposed reason, the end result is the same, and requires the same action to reach resolution).

I texted him again and he texted me back saying he was working. I'm about at the end of my line here with this guy. I think its time to kick things up a notch.

His original excuse for not shipping was a death in the family, then it was that he was working so many double shifts that he didn't have time to go to the post office. Now he doesn't have any money and has "been in the hospital".

Contact the police:

This is taken from a post on Bartertown by one of the mods there

Visit your local PD or Sheriff's office and file a report on him.
BRING YOUR PROOF:
Bring a printed copy of EVERY PM or Email you exchanged. Have them in the order that they were sent/received.
--Even include your own in this, as it will show a complete line of communication.
Bring a list of everything you sent and the current MSRP. If you can provide a print out from the appropriate web site, then all the better. If the items you sent were OOP or (like a Hellbrute) not available individually, bring a few examples that show the aftermarket SALE price of these items (note: eBay COMPLETED auctions on SOLD items would work well for this).
File the report and ask them to follow up with the PD local to where the thief lives to ask them to take action on it. You need to do this to get both ends to follow through. BE PERSISTENT!

This is my own personal advice:
Ask the officer/detective to let you know after he has successfully contacted the local PD.
Ask when you can expect to hear back from him.
If he does not call you on that day, you call him the following one.
Be persistent (I can't say this enough). Stay on them to get the help you want and need.

This person has stolen from both of you and lied repeatedly. He's a thief and a scammer. Chances are he's going to go on and steal again.

Sure you can shrug and walk away and say it's a lesson learned, but if you push back there's a reasonable chance you'll get your stuff back and he'll get the punishment he's due. At the least it'll be a visit from the police and a wake up call.

So, nothing since last time I texted him, and now having spoke with ghostmaker, he's implying he doesn't owe anyone else anything.

I'm ready when everyone else is to push this to the police. Obviously he has no intention of every being honest or making things right.

Bouree777 you may not take this seriously with whatever is going on in your life but you have basically stolen from these people, and if you have followed anything from the other transaction report you will know that they can and will file police reports.

Im sorry you lost your friend this week, but there was still a full month now you could have made things right. People will not send you harassing messages if you dont take things from them.

The thing is, the issues won't be resolved tonight. Short of you wiring those who you are refunding money, they can't be. All you can do is offer another shipping day, something you have done at least twice now, and they have to hope you follow through this time. They are well within their rights to take it to the next level now, and well they should, instead of being given a day in a week and a half, the day rolling round and nothing arriving. Which, so far, has been the case.

Its now after June. I've given him the benefit of the doubt but at this point I'm done dealing with him. I've come to the conclusion that this guy is a loser and a scumbag. I'd be completely satisfied at this point if he can be put in the hall of shame and permanently banned from this forum.

I've already called the police and filed a complaint. All I need to do at this point is get my statement notarized and mailed.
