BTW: The stats for the BT-5, BT-7, T-26 obr 1933 and T-35 in the new WI.
There are some lists out there for EW russians, just not an official book yet on them. They have been available for a while, though. Knowing that I have personally played games against friends using them I am pretty sure they aren't imaginary. Generally they are terrible as well...combine all the things that make MW russians tough to succeed with and add on another layer of that by making them all reluctant conscripts and you get the picture.

Before BF starting producing books for the EW period there were a wide range of offically endorsed EW lists (from Dutch to Soviets) hosted on the BF website, it even had its own subforum. They may or may not still exist (probably not).
The T35 is probably my favourite tank, I will have to finish off my Heavy Tankovy list made out of those utterly useless monsters.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

I clean forgot about those things despite having used the stats from them as reference material for our SCW project. BF's forum is a sad place now stuff like that is gone.

I really hope they would issue new finns too - after all, the nowaday ones arent very winter-war`ish in their summer blouses and in complete gear (1/4 of the troops were still going around wearing their civilian kit with G.I. being only "webbing" and cocade, reference: "Malli Cajander" or "Model Cajander" referring to minister who aproved defence budget cuts done in mid 1930s).
After all, most of the troops should be going around in snowsuits. And ofc, the 37 bofors ATG, even though limited in numbers, but still being the only ATG-piece available. Same gun used by poles allready, so really only new crew would be needed. Also, Lahti ATR isnt very suitable for winter war (few participated -at the very last days of war. Legend tells that the engineer, Lahti, himself delivered first 5 pre-production models to the troops by himself as he was aware that if they would be given to state-depot, they would never reach front in time), so they should re-do those models too.

There are pictures of ski Finns up on the Battlefront page. I'm giddy with excitement.
I'm not a huge fan of early war, but I will be getting this book. This is enough to drag me into it.

Exciting news indeed! this may get me back into FoW.
When I first started playing FoW back in 2006, I had asked if Japanese would ever get a release. I was told by a mod that 2009 or 2010 looked hopeful for a Japanese release.
Better late than never.

On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

Ever since I first saw flames of war I've wanted to make a Merrill's Marauders army, but the theatre didn't exist. Now I just need to save my pennies! EDIT: I've been wanting to start up a Finnish army, so this is even better!

Good, they preformed poorly in the Winter War and BF has a nasty habit of over emphasising tanks.
Are there any BT tanks in the FInnish arsenal?
