The eye of terror

Oh I really really hope we get far enough for a full unit of cyber-zombies, them and the Necro Priestess are what got me to pledge in the first place. Not having ever finished a kickstarter before what happens if you move house in between waves, does a quick email to the people running it tend to sort it?

If you look at the picture at least something is covering her ears, but it raises more the question if her ears do anything as it looks like a giant joint holding those titanium sunglases.
I am not sure if I raise my pledge to get a mix between Kurganovas and Jailbirds or just stick with the Jailbirds. In some cases the Kurganova minatures variant just offer the better concept.

There's text beneath the picture:
We must admit that we're not entirely satisfied by the position of the Jailbird Trike Pilot, but we had to create this artwork so quickly, it could not be helped. Rest assured that we will adjust this on the sculpt by placing the pilot seat a bit lower and less at the back of the trike for a more chopper-like pose and attitude.

I think that should do. Maybe ask them to confirm the address change.

Interesting that the 4th to last day was higher than the third and second to last days...

Also, although yesterday's backer total was higher than it's been since near the start of the campaign, it was still only the 7th highest daily backer total of the campaign (the other 6 are in the first week and a half).

I know, right?

A lot of the last few days 'big moves' were all those high level pledges getting snapped up, maybe?

I can't wait for Buzzsaw's post mortem on this one - it will undoubtedly be a fascinating read...

Add-ons info + new unlocks
Update #62 · Jul 6, 2013 · comment
Breaking News on Add-Ons

You can now use your pledge's worth to choose the Add-Ons.
Originally, these Add-Ons could only be added on top of your current pledge amount, and you could not spend your pledge's worth on them.

So for those of you wondering if you should bump your pledge up to a different pledge level to take advantage of the better value associated with higher Pledge Levels, now's the time!

On Kickstarter, margins are very tight, so we tend to make very prudent calls when we add something new. But seeing your comments, we redid our maths, and we were able to allow you to make the change: you can now use your pledge's worth to grab any add-ons you want, except for the Connoisseur Box add-on.

Erratum

The cost of Vera Krabbenhöft, Army Standard of the Iron Empire, has been corrected and is now aligned with the cost of the other 2 Army Standards, with a Kickstarter value of $15 (estimated retail: $18). It was mistakenly prepared in Photoshop with the wrong pricing; When we caught it, at first, I said I'd let it stand, but the casting costs for the large standard could not be ignored :(

Here's what's left to unlock, with 22 hours to go!

Not sure what you are talking about here. Warzone had not only concept art and renders, but prints and resin casts during their KS. The KoW campaign I did not pay too much attention to, but both Dreadball and Deadzone by Mantic had concept art, greens, and some renders during the KS.

Also, this (Raging Heroes) is as much a "hidden preorder" as the two you talked about above.

That's exactly what happened, a lot of the Connoisseur and Eminence pledge levels were gone immediately after they've been unlocked. Mostly by moving from another pledge, which meant even more movement from lower pledge levels to now empty early birds.

Drop Ship for individuals + the Kurganovas painted by James Wappel
Update #63 · Jul 6, 2013 · 2 comments
We're adding an 'Individual Pledgers' option to Drop Shipping

Many of you have asked us if they could join up with friends to save on shipping, and have all their pledges shipped to the same address, because there is no Drop Ship retailers nearby.

While this is not possible, we can now offer a great alternative:

If you band up with one or more friends, we will be able to send your pledge rewards in at least 2 waves, possibly more.
So, you and your friends all have to pay for shipping. So, no savings there. BUT, you will be able to receive your part of your rewards EARLIER, thanks to wave shipping.

We will be updating the Drop Ship Retailers list as well in a bit.
Raging Heroes minis painted by James Wappel

James Wappel is a brilliantly talented painter, who recently did a successful Kickstarter to share his painting know-how on video.

He's also painted many Raging Heroes miniatures and we simply had to share some of his work with you.

James has done a lot of work to support our Kickstarter. And in the last few weeks, wile he was also crazy busy working on his painting videos, he also painted MANY of our minis to showcase their potential in time for our launch. Our original plan was to thank James with more exposure during our Kickstarter, but sadly, with all the Kickstarter craziness, we ran out of time to do this properly :(

So, please go visit James' blog.
Or just check out all of his Raging Heroes posts.
And if you need some painting advice, contact him his Kickstarter's painting videos.

Once again, thank you so much James for your incredible support!

That sounds like a good way to have multiple or wave shipments at no extra costs _if_ one can find more people in the vicinity to share the drop off point.

Well it's the juxtaposition of the kinda nightmare hell troopers that is the Iron Empire and the Lulus... which is kinda fethed up queaff? Then again the Lulus in general really bug me in the "creepy" sense.

Cyberzombie W101 has now been unlocked as we passed $590,000.

This means that you now get 11 (ELEVEN!) Freebees for FREE if you've pledged at Lieutenant Box level of above. Do the maths! It's good stuff!

$595,000 Free upgrade – Now unlocked!

Punky, Army Standard (JB) gets 1 extra weapon (Lightning gun)
Major Severina Madsen (IE) gets 1 extra weapon (pistol) and 1 extra head (without helmet)
Snow Ivanka (KST) gets 1 extra weapon (pistol) and 1 extra close combat weapon (shred sword)

Drop Ship Locations Update

We have now updated the Drop Ship Locations Page with 7 new locations in the US, UK, Germany, Russia and France. We will be happy to add new Drop Ship Locations after the Kickstarter, as
Upcoming Stretch Goals Images

Think we can do more??? Let's do it! Here are the Freebies that could yet happen:

$640,000 Freebie: 1 new Lulu, this one too easily distracted by a butterfly...

$675,000 Freebie: Natasha, Com Operator:

$710,000 Freebie: Freya Pain-Sec, Iron Empire Officer.
Just so you know, Pain Sec is a French expression that means dry bread (more precisely, it means leftover dry hardened bread that's that's hardly edible). When someone is said to be "A l'eau et au pain sec" (fed with water and hard dry bread), it's because they are punished or in jail. So we felt that Pain-Sec was a fitting surname for the intimidating and ruthless Freya. It's also a wink at a French comics heroine called Adèle Blanc-Sec (where Blanc-Sec means dry white wine), a bad-tempered investigator.

$720,000 Freebie: Zab the Hacker, Jailbird Cyber Pirate:

For the record: Raised about 28k today with 16 hours to go. 81 new backers.
Kurnagova trike unlocked.

BTW. Kicktraq will have the last 4-5 hours cut off as a new day, so stats might look a bit odd there.

What was your question? I checked your recent posts here, and you had asked about adding on one of the mascots. That one was answered in a previous update (answer is yes). Or was it a different question you had?

Oh - it was related - basically I asked them now that the mascots were addable if I could add the Hippo to the "Private" level pledge and still keep the free shipping.

(With the reasoning that one baby hippo doesn't add much weight, and the hippo + heroine would still be less shipping than the troop box you can also substitute).
