Dagon the Worldbreaker has been the scourge of the Ophidian sub-sector for over a thousand years and continues to plague the systems on this, the very edge of imperial space. His fleet, it´s mere existence a myth, is said to be a ragtag flotilla of warped ships and hulks that have been adrift in the Warp for centuries and frequently shift back into the empyrian once more. Scattered remnants of images, scans and records indicate that the ships once belonged to the legion known as the sons of horus but it is unknown if any of the original crew still exist.

Hey there Dakka.
This is my Chaos Marine / Daemons Army that i have decided to call the Dark Pact. It is mostly converted and i will gladly elaborate on the various methods, bits and painting styles that went into this ever-expanding army. Lately ive made a small detachment of "tau" to go with it, as stand-ins for adeptus mechanicus. Hope you enjoy

Dagon the Worldbreaker, Champion of Nurgle, Great Unclean One and the Apostle of hate. Dagon is still focussed on the mortal world and feels nothing but contempt for all life. He crushes planets in the name of Nurgle but mainly to quell the fires of his eternal hatred for humanity.


The Goredrakes are Dagons chosen weapon, Harbingers of his doom and his eyes and ears on the battlefield. The Daemons are another example of the endless diversity of the warp and are indeed a manifestation of the hate that festers in every mans heart.
These are my stand-ins for Plague Drones and are made from the Gorebeasts released for the Warriors of Chaos Chariot kit. I added Wings from Vargheists (Vampire Counts). I have more of these in the works but the bits are hard to come by.




The Daemon Prince known only as Zool is entirely mad and erratic and has long since lost any sense of logic or tactical insight. It rampages across the battlefield with a mindless abandon that seems utterly directionless but it often comes to its senses at the last second, driving a bloody wedge into the enemies formations before returning to its mindless destruction of anything in sight, living or dead.
Zool is made from a Rivertroll for fantasy and a pair of oldschool plastic wings for a dragon. His head is actually the snout from a Maulerfiend.



Several Daemon Engines follow the trail of destruction that is left by the warhost and flicker into existence as the blood starts to flow. From Daemonically possessed tanks to Mauler and Forge Fiends, the host draws many such abominations to the field of battle, be it from the cavernous holds of the Landers or the Immaterium itself.
A skullcannon i just had to convert when i saw the one GW made. I feel this one has a more 40k-ish feel to it. The maulerfiend i made from bits and leftovers from the Forgefiend.

Stalking the edges of the assault, the dread servants of the dark mechanicus have been observed aiding the abominable forces of Dagon. Still wearing the iconography of the Legio Mortis, these ancient heretics and their infernal machines are fanatically loyal to the Dark Pact and have fought fiercely on many fronts.

These models are so extensively converted that i have trouble even remembering where all the bits are from. If any of you are interested i will do my best to remember Ruleswise they stand-in as tau allies for my chaos marines. This is my tau commander and his Riptide "Knight of Legio Mortis."

Thanks for posting. I really like the Skull Cannon conversion. It plays more to the 'engine' than the demon, which is nice to see.

I have serious issues with the way gw model daemon engines. The fact that they don´t look like beasts make them seem a lot more creepy and inhuman. A metal monster is just that... a monster. A tank that is possessed is truly alien.

That is a long and tiresome story. In short, i used most of the turret from the defiler kit to fashion his belly from. The shoulders are bits from a catacomb command barge, a few minor bits and a lot of greenstuff. I convert in a very improvised manner, so this is the best i can tell you

You and GuitaRasmus are making it seriously tempting to do a DarkMech detachment. The painting is great but the conversions are absolutely outstanding. I love all of it, especially Dagon and Zool, but I'd be very interested in knowing exactly what went into the making of that Skullcannon (If you don't mind people "borrowing" the idea). Could we possibly get a few more angles of it (mainly from the top)?

Offcourse i don´t mind Id love to see more "possessed tanks" on the battlefield. I´ll take some more pics of it soon and put them up.
I converted it using the sides of a rhino and a few floor tiles from the gw building sets. the top of the cannon (the part that runs across the tanks back) is a deathstrike missile from the manticore IG kit. I used leftover bits and bobs to disguise the sides and the cannon is from the forgefiend kit.

I love the green areas on the chaos guys. Really good definition there.

Really nice are they formed by energy Dragon and the DP? Or are they like any other nurgle demon a decaying corpse. I only ask because of how there body is painted looks like they are more ghost or formed engery then warp energy givin form. Hope i make sense....

You do make sense.. the third time i read it And yes i was going for a ghostly feel to the daemons in this army. As if they where half real and kept fading in and out of the warp. The dead meat on Dagon is just that. His lack of interest in corruption has left his flesh dead and without maggots.

Where's that canopy you used on the Burning Chariot from?

These are awesome! I love the bits scattered everywhere for all of the different models. Very cool and a very cool story
