All the Primarchs had a particular style of fighting that passed down to their Legions. Like how Dorn defends and how Perturabo likes to rip defenses down. Curze likes to use terror tactics while Alpharius and Omegon prefer misdirection.

So as the title asks, what do you believe to be the 2 missing Primarch's style of combat was? How would they set about doing it?

The two missing Primarchs are there, so that every gamer has room to invent his own one. So their fighting style is whatever you like.

At last - the perfect thread! I can now safely reveal the identity of the two missing Primarchs, and in doing so impart their preferred style:

More than likely one of their doctrines resolved around stealing Intellectual Property, probably from the Ultramarines. So they were eliminated by GW.

@the OP

I've always enjoyed this line of thinking - starting with the thought that there seemed to be two primarchs for every role.
If you can work out the pairings, you could possibly guess what the missing primarchs specialised in.
If you put that question to Dakka - you'll get an argument ending ultimately in a collective 'we've no idea'.

Search through Dakka - there have been a lot of similar questions

I think the 2 missing Primarchs "fighting style" was a attempt at emulating the most successful war fighting stratagems in the galaxy.

One was designed to be Brutal, but cunning.

The other was Cunning, but brutal.

But such incredible knowledge is not for human minds to fathom..so they imploded. or ead'banged.

One utilized the powers of Chuck Norris, an ancient STC.

The other utilized the powers of Bruce Lee, a weapon designed to counter the Norris.

They fought on the same side of a crusade once.

There's a reason they are missing.

Perhaps such defining characteristics are why they disappeared?

Hmm, what would be such a terrible attribute that warranted getting "dealt with"...

Maybe one of them was actually touched by chaos in some way? Mutated horribly... and they enjoyed it?

The first one's fighting style was entirely pragmatic, making heavy use of orbital bombardment and long-range shooting instead of a bunch of screaming guys with chainsaw swords. The primarch went missing because ending every battle in 30 seconds of nuclear war was ruining the books.

The second one's fighting style was based around the elite of the elite. The primarch went missing because an elite of the elite army doesn't sell enough models.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

The first missing Primarch punched with his feet and kicked with his hands. Well it was far from pragmatic, most opponents were caught so far off guard that they simply sat down and died.

The second missing Primarch was a pacifist. While he was being beaten up, he lectured on how we're all one, because 'we're made of matter the same way tornadoes are air, different currents but all the same, man'.

Dear lord Kroot, stop spreading that outdated nonsense!

To the OP it is an interesting discussion trying to find what archetypes the two missing Primarchs would have filled.

One wrote bad slashfiction and distributed it amongst the enemy.

The other one drew lots of MLP hentai and distributed it amongst the enemy.

They were ultimately each others' downfall when the MLP one discovered the slashfic writer had stolen one of the MLP pairings and made it his OTP, and so the MLPer stole one of his slashfiction pairings and started drawing hentai of it.

Their legions eventually committed suicide due to embarrassment. Some say that the Primarchs never noticed and continue to wage war against the other in this way to this very day.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
