Just wondering.....Does Privateer Press do anything like this? I was on the fence of starting another 40k army after selling everything. I'm glad i have yet to jump back into the boiling pot. However Warmahordes is picking up at my FLGS.

As far as I am aware, the only time PP has discontinued anything is when a new model for that same thing comes out. IE, the old metal Warjacks went direct only while supplies last when the new plastic versions came out. They also have a few specialist, lesser demand items that are direct only from their website such as some older/alternate sculpts of Warcasters and the Extreme (much larger) sculpts of some of the Beasts/Jacks.

Hmm.... Think I might Stick with Warmahordes then. It's a shame, I do LOVER 40k's fluff. But the company itself is starting (for me) to become a cancer.

I got the same call from the Warstore and this is what I was told (It was going direct only). Not sure the deal since it seems two rumors coming from one place.

The WS is still in the Battalion box though....not that I need more guys, but it feels like some GW shenanigans.

Regardless, it is a bad move by GW. I still do not understand why FLGS sell their products. If customers really want to play their games, I would try to sell them other companies models to use as proxies.

My FLGS doesn't anymore...it is all about Flames of War, War Machine/Hordes and Malifaux there. There is a single Hobbit Limited edition box there along with one of the new 40k boxes too, which has been there since it was released last September. Shows how much of an interest people have there these days.

I wish my Flgs could GET Flames of War figs.. It took about 2 months for them to get an Open Fire boxset, but they were able to get it. Now if I could get my buds into WW2 gaming...

Some online retailers like The Warstore carry the FoW line if you need access. It is odd your store is having a hard time getting a hold of stuff. Flames of war is a good game and is in its 3rd version of the rules, with the rules being well written and very clear with few to none of those vague rules that seem common to GW game versions leading to far fewer rules arguments around the table. In fact when a rules question comes up on a game day pretty much every one readily agrees on how the rule works instead of 5 different people having 5 different interpretations of the same rule and just muddying things for the players trying to come to terms in their games. One amusing aspect of the current version of FoW is that you can practically learn the rules perfectly without reading anything but the sample images throughout the rulebook.
