If there is a discrepancy in price between the description of the event and what is in the cart, which one is accurate? The Fantasy Team Tournament price is $70, but the description says $60. I'm presuming the $70 is correct, I just want to make sure I'm budgeting correctly.

Thanks!

Thanks for bringing that to our attention.

You are correct the proper amount is $70.00 per team.

@Reece -

We will be posting the survey results mid-next week. Matt, after many hours laying out 160 events in the webcart is getting some much needed hobby R&R this weekend before the craziness of registration begins.

One more question about the VIG pass- when is the long line for registration now? When I attended in 2012, I think it was Thursday evening.

Is that still the case, or is it Wednesday evening? I'd likely be arriving midday on Thursday, so if the line was already passed it'd make the VIG less important to me... but if it's Thursday night then I'd definitely want it, that line was crazy

@Ritides –
I would say the line midday on Thursday would be minimal.

What is warzone? Is it it's own game or a method of playing 40k?

It's pretty much been covered between Janthkin, Jay_DaBoyz, and Matthias posting last year's rules, but the 40K Warzone Tournament was put together from a collection of GW publications, drawing various rules and Stratagems from the Zone Mortalis Expansion from FW, Cities of Death, Planetstrike, and Apocalypse, along with some older out of print GW publications. Essentially it puts a heavy emphasis on existing terrain rules and brings Stratagems out of the Expansions and into the world of tournament play.

If you like the Expansions and how the terrain rules can dramatically alter how you play the game, then the Warzone tournament should be a great fit for you.

There will be a few small changes from last year. The Hidden Set Up Stratagem needs to be altered or replaced, and most of the attendees last year wanted "water/canals/islands" as a new Warzone, so there is a strong likelihood the Desert rules will be folded into the Trench boards, and I'll be assembling 4 new island tables. That will all be hammered out between now and January.

I'm very excited Janthkin has volunteered to help again. The event wouldn't have run nearly as smoothly if he didn't swoop in out of nowhere and offer to help. I'm looking forward to us working together again this year.

So no Gladiator this year? Friday looks pretty clear actually. I might get in a short event or seminar but I think i'll mostly just hangout. Since I know I won't be making top 16

Yeah, I saw that too. I sent a message to the TO from last year, asking if he was doing it again this year.

If not, then maybe Warzone/Doubles. Or just drinking heavily until the team event.

0000 - Rest Period - BUT YOU BETTER NOT SPEND FOUR WHOLE HOURS SLEEPING. IF YOU DO YOU ARE NOT ANGRY ENOUGH AND TOMORROW YOU GET THE FIRST CHANCE TO PLAY PIN THE TAU ON THE CARNIFEX.

If i could find an xwing teammate for friday, I will only have to play 40k in the team tourney. Anybody want to play x-wing on Friday?

You might try asking Jin or MajorTom11, skkipper- they'll both be at AdeptiCon and both love X-wing

I already scored when I got Redbeard back on the 40k team and team ok'd orks again. so may have to try Jin or Majortom. it will prevent me from having 40k overload.

Today Your Love, Tomorrow AdeptiCon Registration

AdeptiCon 2014 Registration opens tomorrow at 7:00PM CST. We are expecting a massive registration rush when the cart goes live, so please have some patience with the system. Several improvements have been made, but it will undoubtedly be a bit slow as several hundred people stop mashing their F5 key and start the registration process.

The AdeptiCon 2014 Schedule is now up for your viewing pleasure. It is currently up to date, however I am sure it will change a little over the next 24 hours. People are still trying to submit additional events! In the past 24 hours hours, we have add a few Bolt Action games, some new Hobby Seminars, two smaller Warbands/Regiments of Renown Warhammer Fantasy events and more!

Draft rules for some of the major events have already been or will be posted by tomorrow. Here what we have so far:

Warhammer Fantasy ‘It’s How You Use It’ Tournament
Warhammer Fantasy Return of the Big Brawl
Warhammer Fantasy Team Tournament
Warhammer Fantasy Championships

Several people have also noticed some events appear to already be short a few tickets. This reflects the Geek Nation attendees claiming their guaranteed spots. Their registrations were completed a few days ago, so the remaining tickets listed for each event reflect current availability.

Well, I was going to be selfish and not bring this back up to the top, but figured that wouldn't be nice

Don't forget to register tonight if you're interested in the Championships, Team Tournament (or at least, if you're the one from your team paying upfront for the rest), etc guys!

Question, how quick do the 40k championships usually sell out? I know the team tournament sells out stupidly fast. But if I can't get a singles 40k championships ticket till next week will I most likely be on wait list?

Yes, you'll be on wait list.
