Subject: Black Library price increase (or just the GW site?)

Might well have been covered elsewhere but I noticed today when ordering some stuff on the main GW site the more recent Horus Heresy books have gone up to about €15 each.
They used to be €10.50, infact older ones like Fulgrim and First Heretic are still selling for that price.
The €15 ones are not hardback from what I can tell. The hardback ones are circa €20.
Any reason around the €5er increase in price? I cant tell why.
Its the same on the official BL site?

Trade paperbacks have a flexible cardboard cover. Usually they are a format for putting a bunch of comics together. He might mean are they larger than the older paperbacks? In the USA Black Library books have increased in price from $8 to $15 and they are now a little bigger and have a fold out cover. Not worth the price increase if you ask me.

"The uniforms of the Imperial guard are camouflaged in order to protect their wearers by hiding them from sight. the principle is that what the enemy cannot see, he cannot kill. This is not the way of the Adeptus Astartes. A Space Marine's armour is bright with heraldry that proclaims his devotion to his Chapter and the beloved Emperor of Mankind. Our principle is that what the enemy can see, he will soon learn to fear." -The codex Astartes

Ah the flexible cover, yes that might explain it so.
Pointless addition though, I'd prefer if they were still all basic paperback for about a tenner.

Well, this is sort of right.
Trade Paperbacks are the standard publishing edition for "literary" novels in the US. The mass market paper back (MMPB) is typically considered a "throw away" edition that is/was reserved for pulp fiction (mystery, science fiction) and romance It doesn't really have anything to do with comics, although they do have something called trade paperbacks that are collected versions of individual issues.
Chances are if you're seeing a price increase, it's because you're looking at novel that is in the Trade format and not the MMPB format. Black Library, like many smaller publishing houses, is moving away from MMPBs in lieu of the digital editions as their "disposable" format.

You also have to wait quite a while for the MMPB versions. Hardback first, then trade PB, then 6 months or so later the MMPB.
Its getting quite tricky to pick out the MMPBs when ordering on Amazon...
