I was out with my friend who forgot to bring money, so he said if I bought him lunch he would give me this GW Birthday Pin he got a month ago at the store's birthday. The skull one found here: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?aId=15500017a

He said it was worth like $40 or at least would be in the future. Just wanted to check if he was telling the truth lol.

I doubt it.

Make him buy lunch next time.

It shouldn't be, but they did swap over to a lamer one last time here at least. Oh and that one's different again. I guess it depends on what they do with the next one as that's probably the nicest so far. They stick with it and it won't, they discontinue and it might.

At the very least, it's worth a free lunch from your friend. What goes around, comes around...

I doubt it, but unless your friend is a seriously tight bugger who incessantly stiffs you for things, I suggest you stop being a cheap bastard.

I'd give him his pin back as well, personally.. In fact, I wouldn't have took it off him in the first place... Jesus, who scrimps on buying a friend an occasional meal, and then checks on the internet to see how much the pin that his mate was forced to give him is worth!?

Seriously.. I'm not trolling, but a good friend is more important than 10 bucks, you have to be some kind of miser to worry so much about such a trifling thing.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Reading comprehension fail. The friend offered the pin as a form of gratitude, he was not cajoled into doing so.

I'd buy someone lunch for it. It's cool. It might not be a 3 course meal at a 5-star steakhouse, but I'd buy them a sandwich for it.

I got one this weekend at my stores birthday. It is incredibly small(about 1" across at best). Hardly worth $40 IMO.

The keychains are nice though, quite heavy.

Dude calm the hell down. The money I brought was enough to buy me food and something at the store. If he said he'd pay me back or get me next time, I'd be perfectly okay with that, but he offered me the Bday pin, which I happily took. He told me it was worth like $40 and would pay off everything I spent, so I saw it as him paying me back, I just wanted to know if it was true since I couldn't find any results searching ebay.

First day on the forum and I already have donkey-caves commenting on my stuff.

my mate's got a bolt-pistol keychain. There's a much better chance of it being worth $40 than this wee pin.

He pulled the $40 number out of his arse. But if it's a nice thing to own then it's worth the cost of a lunch.

I agree it does sound cheap to not shout a mate lunch. I would not have taken the pin, hell I wouldn't even ask for the money back. If he is a good mate he will buy you lunch next time. I think asking around if he is telling the "truth" points towards your main concern here; was it a fair trade and did I get ripped off?

Thats a tough call, Im sure someone would be willing to pay a decent price for it but at the same time if I was in the same situation I would have just bought my buddy lunch and refused any thing in return.

Also its your first time on this forum but Im sure not the first day on the internet. People will disagree with you, might as well get used to it.
