Now that we are aware of what models are coming, lets take a look at the new anti-air of the Space Marines. There is a new box set that you can build either variant, the Space Marine Stalker or the Space Marine Hunter
Officially until there is an announcement, we still have to classify these as rumors.
via anonymous sources on Faeit 212
The Space Marine Stalker
Comes with a Icarus Stormcannon Array. Both of these turrets can move independently, and can shoot at two targets at once. Both turrets are three barreled guns.
Space Marine Hunter
Fires a Skyspear Missile from a large single barrel.
Both tanks have several side stabilizers and appear to more heavily armoured along the front and sides. (no stats)
3 LasCannon shots at 2 targets each. Ha. If that has Interceptor as well. Double ha.
Noone said they are lascannon shots ... I wish They are "stormcannons" ... Time will tell if they are worth it
True. I saw the Icarus and my mind made up the rest! Although a new cannon!? Wonder if that will fall at Str8, in between the Auto and Las?
I think Krak missiles have that ground covered, but I don't know what else it could be.

Any word on what the chapter tactics will be like? Will it be similar to 4th edition (for generic characters too), or more 5th Edition (special characters)? One of the rumors said that there were chapter tactics in the codex, but no specifics were said.

honestly, my pocket may not be happy about it, but i'm glad they are doing seperate Vanguard and Sternguard boxes...
if you look at the present kits, the Vanguard are leaping, while the Sternguard are standing still or striding forward...
one kit, or the other, would have had to suffer...
i wan't my Vanguard dynamic, buti don't know about leaping Sternguard...
at least, between both kits, we will have a lot of cool new bits ...
looks like the last few discounters around will be busy next month...
cheers

Anyone else wondering what on earth the centurions are there for?
I mean what will they bring to the army that they dont already have?
The assault versions seem to be just like the chaos marine maulers, nobody ever takes them.
So why should I take 3 beefed up assault marines at almost landraider cost when I can take a hammernator squad?
Why take three shooty things when there are devastators?
I´m guessing they will cost 80-ish points a piece, come with 2A and 2W (possibly 3w). So why should I take that over 10 bodies that come with 4 heavy weapons and dont die from 1-2 lance hits? The hellturkey threat is already diminished and will be more so with the aaa tanks.

I'm sure they will have some kind of role that is relevant to the codex. They may not end up the best at it, but they probably won't be useless. Most of the new units, excluding the wraithknight, have been very good to moderately priced.

Nope. But some clear pictures would be worth someone else getting fired.
Let's get this done.

Time to build a 18 man Centurion army.
via anonymous sources on Faeit 212
Centurion Devastator Squad
These guys come with guns mounted into the sides of their chest plates, not to mention that they are carrying even more guns. Under both fists, they can carry Heavy Bolters, Lascannons, or Grav-Cannons. While their chests sports an array of either Hurricane Bolters or Missile Launcher. Whoa.... that is some amazing firepower.
Centurion Devastator Squad
These guys come with Siege Drills on each arm, with either flamer or melta attachments. While this alone would be a tremendous amount of firepower, they too come with chest mounted Hurricane Bolters or Ironclad Assault Launcher. If you were curious which models you need to shoot at first, these qualify with extreme prejudice.
With this amount of firepower they might actully be worth the points (depends on what points) I hope they have a good stats line too.

Instead of buffing Devastators to be usable they replace them with the tactical Centurions. Instead of making Dreadnoughts better and changing their crippling Walker status to Monstrous Creatuer or something along those lines, assault Centurions are replacing Ironclad Dreadnoughts.

Why no helmets?? Seems like a waste of time putting on gigamarine armor and going helmetless? I am hoping a headswap will help with the look of the armor, and that the devastator version looks better. Cant see them being very fast as they look quite wadly.

I'm sure they'll look better with a bit of minor work. Like losing the side-toes in particular. And having some nice Iron helmets.

I agree, cutting the side toes off and sorting out the head would make them look like mini contemptors, much better.
I still have a small hope that they have a jump pack as that would make them very useful, but they appear to have dreadnought style smoke stacks making that unlikely.

Side toes are nice, they're like dread feet. Main problem is that the arms are way too heavy. Why powerfist and a huge assault drill under it? They'd look much better if there just was a drill in the place of the fist.

I'm sure there's a helmeted option, bet it looks like a terminator helmet.
I like the centurions, but I guess I'm odd because I like the Grey Knight Dreadknight.

If I do decide to run assault centurians, I think that replacing these arms with the Mk IV dreadnought arms from FW may look nice.
