Pfft, I have my "All American", which is an M4 with all the bits and bobs and a Colt, as well as a "German Gentleman", which is a G36C and an MP5SD (the ninja basically makes it the SD). No Mosconi's here.

I prefer the ersatz M4 myself (Got everything on it modded, except for a longer barrel), but when faced with feds and the like, I prefer a more high damage weapon myself. I also have one that's as simple as possible, with a vintage mag to keep the visibility as low as possible for those silent heists. I agree that the Crosskill is a great pistol, I have two myself, one as tricked out as it can be, the other again as simple as possible for the sake of keeping a low profile.

I'm still bummed about the shotgun nerf. Don't know what to use now.

For you guys who're fans of the M4 - you running those on Overkill jobs? Because that seems to be a death wish.

The ranges on the Locomotive, Reinfeld and Izmha will be fixed on Monday if all goes well, they have noticed the problem and acknowledged it, they'll fix it ASAP.

My own CAR-4 has a stubby for extra damage output, which helps with getting better head shots. Only thing it still needs is a long barrel mod for that extra bit of accuracy, other than that, fully kitted out for warfare.

Here is update #12. Thanks to everyone for the swift feedback of Update #11. Thanks for allowing us to mine some economic data to get this balanced as well.

Update size: 32,6 mb

Systems

Made tweaks to the economy system - added a whole lot more money to PAYOUTs and matched that with prices. Bags are super important! Or go check out Big Oil...
Made tweaks to the skill costs, higher tiers are now more balanced
Increased the XP payout depending on difficulty

Law enforcement

Included a feature where law enforcement now can spawn and move in groups of bulldozers, tasers, shields and heavy SWATs
Tweaked the tactics of the law enforcers - tasers grouped with bulldozers now charge instead of providing support and are more aggressive
Balanced the bulldozer spawn rates on the different difficulties
Balanced the tan FBI spawn rates on the different difficulties
Made a change where we buffed the snipers
Balanced the FBI Officers so they do less damage but still hurt
Balanced the Gangsters so they do less damage but still hurt
Taser now has increased taser range, are also harder to headshot

Skills

Made a fix so that the Cleaner skill works properly with the cooks in the Rats Heist
Buffed the Bulletproof skill, now absorbs more damage

Nightclub heist

Made several fixes connected to AI movement pattern and collision

Diamond Store heist

Made a fix to the ATM machines
Made a fix to the Expert Driver asset
Made a fix where the escape van wouldn't be enabled in some cases
Tweaked the number of guards that spawn

Weapons

Balanced the Mark 10 Submachinegun, lowering its damage output
Balanced the Para Submachinegun, lowering its damage output

Ghost

Buffed the ECM jammer by increasing the range

Titan safes

Made a fix to the Titan safe timer, lowering it to great extent

Played a few games with the new #12 update yesterday, if you are playing a multiple day job, you will only get paid on the last day. All days preceding this will be just handing out XP, no more contract pay.

Bag payouts have indeed been buffed, it's somewhat viable again to do a bank heist for bars of gold.

Hey question: How do you deal with the big green marshmellow man armored guys? Does enemy armor regenerate after a few seconds like yours do? It sure seems like they require a gratuitous amount of headshots so I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong.

That's a Bulldozer, or as they say in game "IT'S A melon-fething BULLDOZER!!!"

You can only kill it by shooting it in the face several times. Every few shots strips away another layer of armour and you need to shoot off quite a few layers before you can shoot him in the face and thus, killing him.

yep that guy, I was thinking I was either doing something wrong or armor reduced damage by a straight number so smaller weaponry didn't do much, either way its like a full magazine or more of headshots, which seems excessive, esp when I'm trying to be a proper ghost using silenced weapons and being off to a side to murder the shield guys and such as they come in.

But I can bag corpses now so I'm going to try for stealth runs

He has a steel plate covering several layers of kevlar and bullet resistant plastic covering his face, it takes some shooting to get through.

Sure, if you can survive the near instant-death shotgun blasts, you can try hitting him in the face a dozen times.

I never hit them in the face but I seem to put them down. Is that because I'm a ghost, so can cut through armour with any weapon?

I've been experimenting with a speed run on Mall Crashers, I need a bigger blast radius on my trip mines, but right now it looks like it can be done in under a minute by a fast enough crew.

Well, we managed to do the Diamond Heist silently, but was a body count of sixteen bystanders it worth it..

So I take it that this game is worth getting? How is it for new players? Brutal and no holding of hands?

It's not brutal. Most of it is learning the layout of maps and building effective skill sets. If you've played L4D its not a hard transition really.

It plays best with friends who can coordinate and as you gain more skills and experience, the replay value of the maps certainly rises as more options that were previously unavailable open up to you.
