Hey guys, a friend and I had a weird idea..... Make a super Deathstar w/ BA. The problem was that we couldn't keep the unit alive - thats where the DA come in.

BA (Primary)

Librarian (Telekenisis) - 100

Librarian (Telekenisis) - 100

Corbulo - 105

X10 DC (x3 PF, X4 Power Axes) + Lemartes - 460

Scout Squad (Bolters) - 75

Scout Squad (Bolters) - 75

Stormraven (AC, MM) - 200

Stormraven (AC, MM) - 200

Stormraven (AC, MM) - 200

DA (Allies)

Azrael - 215

Scout Squad (Bolters) - 65

Scout Squad (Bolters) - 65

All the Independent Characters go with the DC. Azzy gives the unit the 4++, Corbulo tanks and passes one (just one!) wound to Lemartes (to get him angry). The libbies pray for GoI and teleport the entire DC Nuke in hopes to get in assault turn 2.

Silly, but I really want some thoughts on this!

Dark Angels will give cheaper Librarians, if you make the BA into the Allies.

I don't get Triple Raven though

Also, if I take the cheap DA libbies I only get 2 rolls on Telekenisis, rather than 4.

You have too many points in the Storm Ravens, pure and simple. It still would be fun to play a couple times and see how it works though.

not gonna lie but you'd be better off dropping all those fists and only take 2 axes and then fit in more Dco cause really on the charge with a chaplain 10 will kill anything they touch outright anyway

Truthfully, this list is all or nothing, so that thats why I have the 3 Stormravens blasting in.

As for the DC, more would be great, but I'm afraid the DS imprint would be to large. If I drop 1 BA Scout Squad, I can take a DP w/ Locator beacon for the DC, which would help if I did decide to include more.

I have play vs a list similar to this one but my opponent made 1 critical mistake and that was he spend too many points in ravens and loaded up his deathstar in one of them. I went first and he did not get a second turn as I tabled him top of Turn 2.

And what happens if your Libbies don't get Gate?

If that happens then......

I guess I'd be forced to footslog... To tell you the truth, I don't think its all that bad. With some good positioning and decent run rolls it should be fine.

As for the Ravens, I'm not even putting anything in 'em. The DC Nuke will be teleporting forward. (hopefully) The main reason for 3 is the MTO factor.

I am pretty sure SM Librarians can choose their powers without the need to roll (That is why they are 100pt instead of 65pt seen in the DA and CSM codices).

Perhaps grab one librarian from SM as ally to ensure GoI and then a librarian from DA for cheaper points and random/main spell.

BA don't get GoI.

I would ally in a SM libby, but I need Azzyy to give the 4++ and take challenges.

What would be the point of doing that when their new book is out in 2wks?
