Those are actually Rogue Trader-era Tyranid Warriors. Also included in the Advanced Space Crusade/Tyranid Attack game.

The second ed Warriors were worse, IMO.

Trying to find a picture of them.

But I love how they say "finely detailed" so unironically.

Ah-hah! Here we go!

They are quite finely detailed actually [doesn't make them any better mind]

You can make solid slug weapons work in space with a little modification. It's far from impossible.

Yes, back when the Necron army had only five units and was just something put in a 2e White Dwarf issue.

The sculpt isn't the dumbest 40k model I've seen, but considering these models replaced some quite nice-looking second edition striking scorpions, and the 'Eavy Metal team painted their mouth guards white, puts it top for me.

Not to be rude, but your expaination sounds like an ass-pull attempt to defend this most s t model.

Afaik the Hellblade is an aircraft and not a space fighter. With Starfighter i meant the jet, which had rather stubby wings

Believe it or not, it'd make even less sense if it was a spacecraft! The closest thing we have to a believeable single-seater combat spacecraft is the Starfury from Babylon 5. Not to mention that, judging from what we know about space and what we can imagine about real space combat, the very idea of "space fighters" may not be too wise to begin with. Automted drones maybe. Fighters not so much.

By the way, I'd like to add the Soul Grinder to my list. Can't believe people scorn the Wraithknight for being toylike and at the same time are content with something lifted straight out of a Masters of the Universe catalog.

In an effort to add some originality to this thread, I'l nominate the FW hellblade:

It looks kind of awsome at first, but then you realise that the wing design means the piece of scat would have to either fly at a normal speed and almost certainaly stall, or fly really [emphasis on really] fast and risk lowered levels of control.

Also the Thunderwolves are no more dumb than GKs having powers swords on sticks AKA smart and fits with their style.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Every SM flyer but the stormeagle looks like vomit too.

The Hellblade would fit into a Slanneshi army since it's a flying tuning fork. Then it's really just practical.

One of my least favourite models is the old Terminator Captain:

Spoiler:

It doesn't look too bad...unless you look at the bolter arm, which is in completely impossible position. Poor guys shoulder is apparently located somewhere above and beyond his ears. I replaced the arm in my conversion and it immediately looked much better.

We're not talking about fluff here.

On topic, a lot of older models look really silly.

Like old Ghazghkull.

There's also a few older models still in use that just have boring poses. Ragnar Blackmane is one of them.

Also, Njal in power armor.

I love how I come back to this thread seeing there is a post by Captain Bloody Fist and I get to see a picture of a Captain. With a bloody fist...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I hate this model with a passion. I was given one and still ended up converting it into a warboss on warbike. The model is outdated, it's way too small. The orks in it don't match the rest of the range out now.

I vote for:

a) Dreadknight: It's just as bad as everyone says, not gonna buy this model ever
b) Jokaeros: What are these, Apes with uber-Combo-Weapon in their fingertips, what? Not gonna buy these models either.
