Virulent Space Marine dedicated to Nurgle

Starting a little white scar bike detachment and was wondering what best to arm my sergeant with, I was thinking about either something like a poweraxe or a powerfist, any suggestions or things I should take into account?

On those two options it depends on whether you want a combi-weapon as well. If yes, fist, if not, axe.

Personally, i wouldn't go with a CC weapon unless Khan is in the unit for furious charge.
From experiance, I only assault the leftovers. Between Hammer of Wrath and the normal attacks it pretty much covers my CC need.
However, i always have meltabombs on my sarges, for when meltaguns aren't enough. I think a combi-weapon would be a good fit, but a little more pricey

Hey, why wouldn't you take a unit that actually costs *less* than a Riptide and can wipe out 3.4~ wounds a turn off it?

I've been trying Combi-grav and Meltabomb and I've found both to be spectacular choices!
Granted, I've only gotten about 3 games in so far.

He can't take both since he only has one weapon by default.
A power fist is decent because he can't qualify for the 2ccw bonus anyway. If you wanna go at initiative, consider the power lance. With a 12" move and Hit and Run, you should be doing most of the charging.

Oh, good catch! I don't think lance is good though, lightning claw is just better choice if you want to go at the initiative.

My current loadout is powerlance and melta bombs. I like the extra attack at I4 and the lance gives him pseudo-furious charge. With Hit & Run, I usually can break out and get my bonuses again when needed.

Of course against most foes claw is better than lance even with the charge. And without charge the claw is massively better against every foe.

Furious Charge only effects the model, not the unit.
Back on topic: Either combi-weapons or nothing. The points for a power weapon are better spent on more bikes or gravguns tbh. Str 5 HoW, I4 and str 4 is enough to tie up or deal with weaker units. Against more combat specialized units, you most likely don't want your bikes to be in cc with them.
Besides a combi-weapon the only other option I'd go for is melta bombs.
