This week I played an apocalyptik game against a friend.
10.000 per player
Khorne vs Ultramrines

How did Angrath and the Scorpion do?

An 'grrath is very powerfull specialy during un assault ! It kill everything he touched but termi/stormshield is a good "tank" against an'grrath.
An'grrath fly during the turn 1 so no body try to shoot him because to difficult to hit then hurt.
I had to eleminate "D" weapon and Gravuton gun. Both weapon are dangerous for An'g.

The scorpion help me a lot to break the marines line behind the aegis. Big move and big assault move permitted me to charg turn 2.

Epic did you use any of those lord of skulls things I have not heard a word about those?

The lord of skull is too expensive to be played correctly. 888 pts is the same cost than an'grrath and it's not as strong as him. The second problem with LoS is his value 13 ! Not enough for is cost (888 pts)

Nice report. Table looks good and both armies obviously have a lot of love in them. An'garrath is a beast. He lived only because there was no Arjac to put him in his place.

Looked great fun, how did you find the new Apoc rules and how long did it take to play?

I read french.

We played during a day in a shop. Because of many people came to see "the fight", we spend a lot of time to discuss between us with out playing so we stoped at the end of the second turn.

Some points of the new rules are great but some others disappointed me a lot.
- It's too easy to controle an objective. I prefere the w40k rules.
- some assets are too ugly ad some others are totaly useless !! Nothing in the middle.
