I find it highly annoying how Chaplain Serraphicus usually sells for no less than 20 Euros on ebay (usual price usually 25+ incl P&P). I can't understand why people are willing to pay through the nose for a PLASTIC model like this. If he were Resin, okay, but damn. Don't you find it highly annoying how GW creates beautiful sculpts and then never actually bothers to keep producing them? What went wrong with theor mould? Surely they had to create a mold for Seraphicus and now instead of making them more money the mould has been destroyed or locked up? All this money on ebay would have been theirs if they didn't have such an asinine limited edition policy. I'll wager they would have made more money by now than they did from the extra money of the Limited Edition Dark Vengeance boxes sold alone, if they had simply added Seraphicus to the DA line. Was it even a Limited Edition box? If my memory is correct, it was merely from pre-ordering Dark Vengeance, wasnt it? So GW actually didnt make more money at all. After all, Dark Vengeance isn't a video game whose price drops dramatically several months after release. Video game companies making money off pre-orders is thus far more obvious than GW.

Are you also pi**ed at GW for this policy sometimes?

Nothing went wrong with the mold. They just wanted to add an incentive for the special edition so they made this model. I don't hold it against them. It does, however, bum me out that you can't buy the Space Hulk Terminators. They're excellent models.

lol .... He was released as part of the "LIMITED EDITION" starter set and nowhere else for a reason ...

Edit: I just googled ablutions and apparently it does not including dropping a duece. I should have looked it up early sorry for any confusion. - Baldsmug

Well that's kinda the point of Limited Edition models, make a nice sculpt, and I'd assume that the amount of money they make though people panic buying them in a flurry of "I must have this so I can show it off to people who can't get one" probably heavily outweights the amount brought in through people selling them on eBay.

You can buy them from Ebay for 12 bucks a pop except for Claudio and the Sarge who cost close to 20. No auctions.

Can you tell me what the Limited Edition cost compared to the regular edition?

To be honest I'm not actually sure what the cost comparison was as my LE was a gift, but I wouldn't be at all shocked to find out it was near what they are charging for him on EBAY. Just a guess though. I'm really not sure.

Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

I don't have an issue with them producing a limited run of a set with that figure included (For what I believe was an extra £5 over the standard set) but on the other hand, if they were to sell the model separately, even for as much as their new plastic characters, there would be plenty of people would have access to that awesome sculpt that missed it. This would mean the Ltd Ed set holds its value, those who missed out on the model get a chance to get it, albeit at a higher price (but one they seem from ebay to be willing to pay) and GW gets tonnes of money. Of course, that would make sense, so will never happen.

On the other hand, you can still get hold of the Hobbit limited edition, stock up on those Radagast figures while you can

I meant for a decent price, and new from GW. I do find it kind of funny you're saying "It's bogus that GW makes limited edition things you can only get on eBay! By the way, here's that other limited thing you wanted on eBay."

Limited edition cost $9 more If I recall correctly.

In the UK I bought the LE for £65, and the Standard is currently listed at £62.50 if not mistaken. So they made £2.50 per LE sale and it was well worth it for me ^_^ Excellent model and truthfully, I do feel special to own such a mini. I for one am glad that know one else can get it and if that makes me a douche, fine, but I feel that way.
