I go down yo my local GW every so often for a few league games but normally I game at my FLGS. My GW tends to run a lot if not entirely just 1k doubles games so I figured I would put out something mean because we do tend to have a few mean/competitive tau players that probably shouldn't be running such a good list for friendly games and I will need something to fight that.

So this is my sweet little baby wraithwing to stomp silly tau gunlines and should be able to carry whatever my partner runs (I usually duo with a SW player but I also go with a crons player and a DA player so I should be good with all of those matchups.

Anyways thoughts? I never ran much of wraithwing due to its boringness outside of an apoc formation from 3rd ed crons so I'm curious to see how this could play out even though I have a good idea of what to expect (a unit or two get shot up depending on who has first turn and LOS blocking terrain etc. Then they crash into the gunline, kill ethereal and unit or riptide if the barges and NS did it already

The Twilight Zone

Well, if you want to be extra mean, combine one of the wraith squads and drop 3 coils. Use the points to get Mindshackle scarabs for extra pain. If your worried about tau, their I2 is the same as your wraiths meaning you strike at the same time, only needing a single whip to tie em down to I1. In a challenge, they don't get coiled, so extra pain from the scarabs forcing them to kill themselves.

Also more ablative LOS wounds for your dlord.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Oh ya I haven't thought of the i2 on tau I won't really need the whips much I guess I will drop two for MSS. I'm probably not gonna combine the squads since tau are great at focus firing and the more I can make them split markerlights the better since tau are great at focus firing

Because Wraiths are vanilla Toughness 4 but have the saving grace of 3++ saves.
