Hunting bow takes timing. You charge it up until it flashes, then release for maximum damage.

Some highlights:
Massively reducing the pixel cost (sometimes eliminating it entirely) on early weapons/armor
Monsters now have a small chance to drop meat when killed with normal weapons
Bandages are now craftable with 4 plant fibres, no longer require fabric
Monsters now have a 70% chance to drop meat when killed with a hunting weapon, up from 50%
Tweaked the UFO boss to make him smash blocks
Also make him a little bit easier by changing him to level 9 from level 10
Increase mining speed a little
Make sure hunger bar is always shown when eating food
Make hunger bar display when the alt key is held down
I'll update the server at some point today if/when I get time.
Glad I killed the UFO before that change was made.
How about we make a rule that you have to call the UFO AWAY from the server's home planet?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Okay, the Stimm packs do the following...
Red: Regeneration
Blue: Jump height
Green: Run speed

Tools in this game are slightly better. For one, when mining ore you get both the ore and the block. For two, the matter manipulator mines four blocks, while other tools mine nine.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also I'll connect again whenever Dark updates the server. Currently cannot conenct.

These two alone make me happy XD
Really need to get playing it more
When the rich rage war it's the poor who die
Armies I have: Chaos Space Marines, Tau, Necrons, High Elves
Armies I want:Lizardmen, Warriors Of Chaos, Dark Eldar
Armies I may get: Dark Angels, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts
If anyone does a lot of hunting and has a ton of leather, the new leather armor made at the spinning wheel is really, REALLY good.
As in "they're probably going to have to nerf it before the game is released" good. It's better than steel armor overall (slightly lower defense, vastly higher cold resistance), and better than gold armor entirely

Steel is remarkably easy to make once you have the right crafting thing-- AND I DO. BECAUSE I BEAT THE SEOCND BOSS.
Man, I am SO boss.
Going to try to get to titanium tier over the weekend. Platinum is, sadly, bugged in that it rarely spawns save for on the surface.

They are doing a character reset soon. They have a plan set out yo rebalanced combat. Removing AP, reducing the number of levels by a factor of 10. It sounds like it might help a lot with the games unbalanced combat. Right now combat feels twitchy because being just a little over or under equipped leads to curb-stomps.

Hm. I better store all my stuff on the server then? Or are they resetting everything?

It said character reset, so I don't know if that means server. I imagine, you won't be able to keep your items seeing as it's a patch about completely redoing all the items.
I've heard that they'll try to alternate character and universe resets so that you can transfer items that way.
i.e. Character reset, move all items to the world, universe reset, move all items to your ship, etc.
Of course, anything that relies on some aspect of your character that is changed, like energy, AP? etc may suffer some loss in some way. Also, don't forget it's a Beta and rumoured promises are only rumours, if they introduce an account system or start tying your character to one universe, you might end up having to reset all the things.
True on both regards. I just figured I've gotten to the titanium tier (which I can't do anything with because of bugs in how platinum ore spawns) so I might as well save my stuff while I can.

I deposited a number of weapons and outfit pieces in the server's homeworld in various containers. Please feel free to use them. The stuff in the chests behind the locked door are the ones I 'd like to keep.
I actually need to expand our storage, because I have more stuff to deposit. IS it possible to sell useless weapons?

In that case, feel free to take whatever weapons that look neat to you that I've deposited in the base. done playing for today I think.

Quick note that I discovered today, your player and ship isn't synced to the Steam cloud at present (or saved on the server). So if you go to another computer, you need to copy the .metadata, .player and .shipworld files from the player folder in the game directory to the same location on the other computer.
Using something like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Sky Drive can help with this.
My lappy can't handle the game in its current form, so I didn't know that.

Hmm.. they didn't seem to be getting enough ores from the lava for it to be worth the risk to me. I've seen the same levels of ores higher up on a level 1 planet. (Unless there are certain types of ore only obtainable at that level?)
True, I'd want to do that on a higher level planet.
