What makes you think the demon was "female"?

What makes you think the female deamon would even like men? :p Or even that gender would matter to exastential beings of another plane of reality? If fulgrims gettig friendly, I like to think the daemon was just working with what was already there

It's in there, but in the same way that finding nemo is about a man whos wife is brutally murdered by a serial killer and his son left crippled, and who in a cruel twist of fate is kidnapped years later, the father having to go across the world to find him with the help of a mentally handicapped woman. Depends how much you read into it

I have giggled much reading this thread. The Finding Nemo analogy was icing on the cake. Space Marines always seemed homo-erotic to me and the chaos ones were the most flamboyant. Don't forget that with their over sized CC weapons and silly cod pieces they also appear to be compensating for some sort of "shortage."

There's pleanty of HH content that anyone with a suitably grotty, perverted mind (i.e. everyone ever) could interpret as borderline homoerotic. Afterall, it's what people do best. However, the argument that suits of armour having codpieces is somehow homoerotic or some form of overcompensation has always been... baffling to me. I mean, numerous different forms of personal armour over the years have contained codpieces. Why bother going to the effort of protecting your entire body if you're going to leave a big ol' weak spot in the middle?
I don't know, maybe some folk would rather charge into battle with their junk flapping about in the breeze...

I think it's more in line with the usual female armour argument. Once you hit a certain level of armour, why does the groin/breast section really need to be that pronounced other than to draw attention to it? Plus theres the nipple armour:
And yes I know all the "But the romans did it!" counter arguments, but then the romans get the same homoerotic flak for it
And actually, i'm a little surprised no ones brought up ol' El'Johnson

Actually the Greeks were famous for making their armour with nipples, belly buttons, 6-packs, etc. And it probably was homo-erotic.

Actually, the objective of Greek armor (like most armor) was to INTIMIDATE, in this case by implying the wearer was a gak load stronger and more toned than you.

I would like to add that this started (atleast from literature that still exists) from city-states of current Greece region and was as liberal in there as in Rome.
As has been frequently noted, the ancient Greeks did not have terms or concepts that correspond to the contemporary dichotomy of ‘heterosexual’ and ‘homosexual’. There is a wealth of material from ancient Greece pertinent to issues of sexuality, ranging from dialogues of Plato, such as the Symposium, to plays by Aristophanes, and Greek artwork and vases. What follows is a brief description of ancient Greek attitudes, but it is important to recognize that there was regional variation. For example, in parts of Ionia there were general strictures against same-sex eros, while in Elis and Boiotia (e.g., Thebes), it was approved of and even celebrated (cf. Dover, 1989; Halperin, 1990).
Probably the most frequent assumption of sexual orientation is that persons can respond erotically to beauty in either sex. Diogenes Laeurtius, for example, wrote of Alcibiades, the Athenian general and politician of the 5th century B.C., “in his adolescence he drew away the husbands from their wives, and as a young man the wives from their husbands.” (Quoted in Greenberg, 1988, 144) Some persons were noted for their exclusive interests in persons of one gender. For example, Alexander the Great and the founder of Stoicism, Zeno of Citium, were known for their exclusive interest in boys and other men. Such persons, however, are generally portrayed as the exception. Furthermore, the issue of what gender one is attracted to is seen as an issue of taste or preference, rather than as a moral issue. A character in Plutarch's Erotikos (Dialogue on Love) argues that “the noble lover of beauty engages in love wherever he sees excellence and splendid natural endowment without regard for any difference in physiological detail.” (Ibid., 146) Gender just becomes irrelevant “detail” and instead the excellence in character and beauty is what is most important.

Yes certainly the sacred band of Thebes is a cause for thinking that.
Then of course in sparta homosexual behaviour carried a death sentence....
I think it was Brasidas who said 'the athenians consider us effeminate for having our wives at banquets, we consider them effeminate for their love of young men....'
