Nipples? On GW's own Daemonettes? You must have imagined those, bud. GW's quality Daemonette models have never featured such morally questionable material. Not ever.

I found this little gem while browsing the internet. Not sure if it is homoerotic, or just erotic.

Would a thread be lockable if somebody says that they don't want to read a novel because it has too much hetero-erotic content? I think not wanting to read gay-erotica is still pretty far from homophobia.

The author and historian Helena P. Schrader, considered an authority on ancient Sparta, has this to say in the author's notes of her novel "Leonidas of Sparta: A Peerless Peer", the second in her trilogy about the life of Leonidas:
There is absolutely no evidence of pederasty in Spartan society during the age of Leonidas or in the centuries before. Herodotus tells several tales of Spartan men showing loyalty to and affection for their wives, and of men being sexually attracted to other men's wives or young maidens, but tells not one tale of Spartan homosexual lovers. Xenophon, the only historian with firsthand experience of the agoge (the public school for Spartan boys) states explicitly '...(Lycurgus)...laid down that in Sparta, lovers should refrain from molesting boys just as much as parents avoid having intercourse with their children or brothers with their sisters.' It is hard to find a more definitive statement than this, and from the most credible source. To dismiss this evidence simply because it does not suit preconceived ideas is arrogant."
Schrader notes that Spartan women were well-integrated into most aspects of society, by contrast with their contemporaries in other societies, and goes on to say that her thesis "is supported by another ancient authority, Aristotle, who blamed all of Sparta's ills (from his point of view) on the fact that the women were in control of things, a fact that he in turn attributed to the lack of homosexuality in Spartan society."
She also questions the archaeological evidence supporting the argument that Spartan society tolerated and even celebrated homosexuality: "To date---in sharp contrast to the case of other Greek cities---no Spartan homoerotic artwork has been found...the evidence is against institutionalized pederasty in the agoge of the archaic and early classical periods---and against widespread homosexuality among adult Spartans as well."
I realize that it is fashionable these days to say that homosexuality is and always has been widespread (and therefore should be given the same high regard and social and legal acceptance as heterosexuality), but it is simply not true.

Hate breaking the news to you, but 12% of the population is homosexual. This does not include any of the bisexuals. If you went with homosexual behavior only, not including the actual orientation, just the behavior..... I donn't know what the heck to call all that gak that goes on in locker-rooms, other than homoerotic.
I find the inclusion of homosexuality and related topics adds depth to the books. I know it's there in a thousand sons, and it added so much more to the expression of the characters. I believe it was a remembrancer and local army officer, been a while since I read it.

I mean, numerous different forms of personal armour over the years have contained codpieces. Why bother going to the effort of protecting your entire body if you're going to leave a big ol' weak spot in the middle?
I don't know, maybe some folk would rather charge into battle with their junk flapping about in the breeze...
I feel the need to like a picture of this. It's an actual piece of armor worn by an English king in history. I saw it in person (the suit, not him wearing it).

Actually, I was stating that my dislike of the pedophile aspect of Greek homo-eroticism comes from having narrowly survived a Catholic school, should have been more specific.
My comment also was referring to our Danish friends "That post gave me cancer" response.
And I have no problem with the books including any form of sexual orientation.
I know there has also been at least one lesbian character, she was in the thousand sons book I think.
