Hey all. I was just wondering what the people's favorite baneblades are!
Mine's the mighty stormlord, which is the closest to enuff dakka you can get without being a titan.

The Shadowsword strikes me as probably the most sensible design for a super-heavy vehicle (why bother making a super-heavy if you are only going to mount smaller guns on it?), looks really cool and is an unholy terror on the tabletop.

Good ole standard with 4 sponsons... maybe not the best, but it is a beast and my all time favorite.

Well, for me its the Shadowsword with its titan killer weapon. I play this tank regularly in our APO battles.
My experience is that a single Baneblade can go down quickly. Therefore, I take my three Landraiders to protect it from getting hammered down.

My love affair with the Shadowsword began in 1999 when I first played Final Liberation. The idea of a giant tank armed with a Volcano Cannon ripped off a freaking Warlord Titan was just so beautiful it defied words.
In the intervening years, through Forge World and now Apocalypse, the Shadowsword has only gained in popularity and awesome.
Oh, and because it slaughters things like a miniature Ordinatus.

I vote for Hellhammer. I'd love to field a Chaos-tainted Hellhammer along my EC army in an Apocalypse game and watch the opponent's face as it advances toward his line with the support of Cultists and Terminators

Punisher russ with HB sponsons and a pintle can pump out over 30 shots a turn, and i can get THREE for the price of a baneblade hows dat fer da dakka?
Favorite would have to be the Shadowsword hands down. I like pie, i like the smell of burning heretics, and i like being able to take down *anything* i may see.

Stormsword 10" ignore cover ordanance yes please,(would be hellhammer but for points limits and yes we only have limited time for games so 3k each in 2v2 games) for me you can keep your half size template I'll splat you where-ever you hide.
It also helps that there's a lot of agis lines and nurgle army's in my meta.
In second place storm lord as it's a lovely assault tank for my zerker wannabes and who ever wants a ride.plus they both look really good.

That's three tanks, not one! Let's do math. Punisher has two HB's, and a punisher cannon (Quite badass, though), as well as a pintle mounted HB. Thats 20 S5 APnil attacks, and 9 S5 AP4 Hits. Multiply by three, and you get 60 S5 APnil attacks and 27 S5 AP4 attacks.
The Stormlord has the terrifying Vulcan Megabolter, which is 15 S6 AP3 shots. These liquefy guardsman and punch through PA. But wait, there's more! if the Stormlord doesn't move, it get's to fire the Vulcan TWICE! that's 30 S6 AP3 shots a turn! and that's only the main gun, with all the upgrades, It's got 3 Heavy stubbers, for 9 S4 AP6 shots, 6 TWHB's for for 18 S5 AP4 shots, and 4 Lascannons for for 4 S9 AP2 shots.
That's a total of 61 shot's that hurt a LOT more.
But that's not it! It has a freaking transport capacity of 40 and 20 fire points! If I put five five man devestator squads with heavy bolters in there too, that's another 20 HB's so 60 more S5 AP4 shots! a total of 120 shot's in a sufficiently pimped stormlord! However, punishers do cost a lot less, but screw efficiency! Baneblades are for awesome!

I went with the classic, as I have no TT experience with any of them, and it was so iconic and awesome in the video games. Lagging out my computer by firing the demolisher cannon at a giant blob of 60+ traitor guardsmen and killing them ALL - glorious.

Well yes thats true, but then again Doomhammer always makes me think of a concert I was at a few years ago. And just because the word hell is included in a unit name dose not make it metal.
