The two Vampire bundles are really compelling, I'll probably end up picking them up.
As for the backpack, I'm unfortunately a whore for this kind of thing.

Anyone have a rough timeframe before these bundles get pulled off of the shelves?

Do they run out of stock before the end of December? I'm guessing it varies year on year but if there's a pattern then I'd be grateful to know.

It's about $30 USD on the Storm Wing.

Storm Wing is a $41.50 savings USD. If you have a local shop that does discounts, you may find this for an even better price! My local shop sells GW at a 25% discount off retail, which would bring the box down to $105.

In regards to the ....mild reception on these bundles.

You know how they say "timing is everything...".

Most of the tau and eldar players already have what they need.

Sure, if the bundles would have launched WITH the codex releases....they would have been flying off the shelves.

but now...most of the people I have spoken with (or on my various email lists and other forums) have the stuff they need...the bundles are almost too big (six broadsides?).

Is it just me or is the Black Legion supplement missing from the Games Workshop webstore??? I thought it was releases on the 16th... Sorry if this has been answered before (I can't find anything!)

I'm honestly surprised at how much these boxes save. The Tau box saves you $95. When was the last time GW offered discounts like that?

I just picked up the Tempestus Firebase for $187.50 and I am ecstatic about the 42% savings over buying those kits separately.

They release these boxes every Christmas - can't remember off hand what the savings have been in the past but I don't think they were dissimilar. This time the boxes seem more specialized though - usually the Christmas boxes are more along the lines of the SM strike force.

That backpack... way too expensive. You could pay a quarter of that price for a used one at a Military Surplus store. It'll be higher quality and heavy duty, plus it'll already be worn a bit for that broken in look. Then you could take it to an embroidery shop and have them embroider whatever symbol you wanted onto the bag.
