Having finished dispatch of the stand-alone metal kits from our first 6mm scale crowdfunder, and with the plastics from that first campaign just a few days from starting their own dispatches, we're starting our 2nd Crowdfunder.

This one's just for a variety of new metal models that we designed in the interim between the end of our last crowdfunding campaign, and waiting for our plastics factory to build the steel moulds and send us twelve thousand bases, six thousand APC's, and ninety-six thousand infantry models...

Anyways, check us out!

Some very cool bits in there – I 'm very tempted by the Spitefire fighters.

For anyone on the fence, I can attest to the quality of Troublemaker Games' models; the sculpts are lovely and chunky with excellent detail, and in classic metal to boot.

You're in the UK, so is there any reason you didn't use Kickstarter for this campaign, now that UK companies can?

I just checked and a whopping 8 out of the last 10 campaigns I've backed on Kickstarter have been by companies in the UK with 7 of those actually running the campaign in £'s!

It could really broaden your audience, so just thought I'd mention it once (i.e. I won't belabor the point, just FYI).

Kickstarter takes a (marginally) larger cut than Indiegogo, and we figure that 6mm is niche enough that "drive by" views of our campaigns by Kickstarter regulars won't garner a great deal of interest.

The number of people more comfortable with Kickstarter could be a large impact though as well.

I'm one of those as I don't care at all for Indiegogo and don't support projects on there. Good luck though, your stuff looks good and it's good to see the first orders for your first one is going out soon.

Unless i'm mistaken the fees taken by both Kickstarter and IndieGoGo really aren't that different. A quick internet search shows that Kickstarter takes 5% of the total raised with Amazon Payments taking a further 3-5% (So 8-10%). While IndieGoGo takes 4% plus another 3% is taken to cover the credit card processing. (I'm guessing that PayPal takes a similar cut from the donations made through their service too.)

As others have said Kickstarter is a far more popular option, and personally i think its odd that you're willing to sacrifice the potential to have a much larger audience for your campaign just to save an extra 3% in fees...

I don't think 6mm scale is popular enough to garner any extra "drive by" pledges when put on Kickstarter.

Indiegogo's pledge system is also rather easier to work with on the production side of things (no need for post-campaign surveys etc. because the system already contains exactly what our customers want).

Did Indiegogo shoot your dog? What's bad about it?

The fact that Indiegogo takes money immediately is a bit frustrating, but not that big of a deal. The campaigns that are run on it tend to feel a little less polished than Kickstarter campaigns, but that could just be that Indiegogo is more friendly to smaller operations. It also lends itself to a cute 'IndieNoGo' nickname. People say that there's less accountability on Indiegogo ,but as far as I can tell if you pledge on a KS and the person just walks off with the money you're pretty much SOL.

Right now my only hesitation on pledging for the new campaign is I want to see what the stuff I ordered from the first wave looks like, but I imagine it'll take less than 40 days to cross the Atlantic and get into my hands.

Yeah, I'm still waiting to see what my Churchillian tanks look like before going in. Also, I'm not really after loads of aircraft. Some of the stretch goals look very interesting though.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Having received the metals of the gobbers and the big alien tanks (Beasts), I'd give a big thumbs up for the quality.

Like Riquende, I'm not very interested in aeroplanes, but I'll keep an eye out for more infantry in the future.

They should have arrived with you weeks ago - please send us an email and we'll send out another package for you.

Yeah, if we wanted to just steal money, Indiegogo is no different to Kickstarter really.

We should have pictures of the last dispatches (the plastics) this week, samples by the end of the month, and main dispatches to begin soon after - we expect to have completed dispatches of the plastic sets before Crowdfunder #2 ends.

New Stretch Goal Unlocked:

Cybershadows forces use War Stalker light mechs as part of their combat forces.

Each War Stalker can wield equivalent martial capability to a platoon of infantry or medium tanks, and when operating in hunting packs only Leviathan Stalkers can hope to oppose them for concentrated combat potential.

Cybershadows War Stalkers are 30mm tall to the cockpit window, and each set comes with the following components:

- 5x War Stalker Bodies & heads
- 4x Powered Claw Arms & 1x Electro-Sword Arm
- 5x Twin Snub Cannon Weapon Arms
- 1x Rotary Cannon, 1x Flame Thrower, 1x Rocket Launcher
- 5x 40mm dia plastic bases

Might work as 28mm scale models for people of the 40k persuasion.

Those are sweet! Could make for some interesting "robo-terminators" in an Iron Hands 40k army, maybe

Are they sized to be a proxy for Epic Knights or Warhounds? They seem more like Knights, but their weapons are more Titan-y.
