Subject: star wars clone trooper imperial guard army =D
For years i have dreamed of having a clone army and now the project starts, I have not found a holy grail of 28mm star wars minis instead i have made do with what is on offer, wizards of the coast.
Now you probably feel the urge to click on another topic please hear me out =] there were some terrible casts and sculps on offer but i have narrowed down the good stuff and with some paint stripping have made some working prototypes that are very promising.
The posses were annoying but with what I discovered changed everything, dreamforge model stormtrooper have the same size arms as the wizards clone troopers so all I have done is clip the arms off the trooper in question stripped the model with nail polish remover, reposed alittle and given them new arms (and the rifles look like blusters so win win)
This has allowed me to open up and make a clone/guard army for cheap thanks to ebay.
so dakka fan i need your help and opinions:
1. I need more clones if anyone has any please feel free to drop me a message
2. unit types for instance commander = Jedi ect.
These are my ideas so far:
-Jedi and arc trooper as command squad
-gunships as valks (revell easy kit are a tad small but i dont think anyone cares too much)
-speeder bikes as rough riders
-ATRTs as leman russ (revell again and cheap at the moment)
-? as orgnes
-arc trooper as vets
-lesser Jedi as psyker battle squad
-clone scout walkers as sentinels
but this is it so far any ideas are welcome and in the next post ill put up some pics =]

I like what you have done there and the gretching as yoda did make me smile =] i will have to hurry up and get some pics done.... just got to find a camera that work haha
