It's cold and raining like heck outside, I'm all cozy and warm in my house together with my close family, listening to music while assembling my new Space Marines.

How's your X-mas Eve, dakkanauts?

There was a terrific storm yesterday, that lasted into the early morning hours. The river is starting to flood. It is dry now, but more heavy rain is expected later in the week.

With all the food and drink supplies safely gathered in, I am making online job applications and thinking about dinner.

Only bad point is that my wife has baned all snacks except satsumas.

Ive just spent 3 hours being dragged around shops by my wife as she finishes my in laws christmas shopping. Not exactly a fun afternoon.

It's cold, windy, and it bucketed it down for pretty much all of yesterday and is due to repeat that again later this week.

So, British.

Watching the Star Trek movies with my wife. Intermittently playing Kerbal Space Program.

Probably going to have some bread and cheese for dinner soon as we had an early brunch of fish and chips

Just got back from the gym myself, and working on some painting while the kids watch their movies. Later the wife and I will probably try out the GoT card game.

I work from 7-2, but it's not that bad since I volunteered (and it's holiday pay). The only problem is that we're way busier than we normally are on Christmas Eve, and I haven't even gotten a chance to read my book.

I'm helping with preparations for tomorrows dinner, and later on putting the finishing touches on wrapping the gifts I will be giving. Hopefully we'll avoid any serious power cuts on Christmas day; the weather has been getting pretty wild.

Pretty average day. Weather is bad (although not as much as yesterday). I've spent most of the day trying to tidy up my nerd-cave.

The worrying thing is that although I've cleared the floor, there's still my warp storm of a desk to clear, and by that I mean I have to sort out 100+ paints, re-organise about 5 different projects, and severely cut down on my bitz box. (Do I really need that millionth Space Marine helmet or bolter? Probably not).

Then I need to attack my storage system (boxes under the chairs) and cut down on all the junk I really have no need of. There's only so many old empty Space Marine sprues a man has need of.

Grandparents coming (hopefully today). Currently at home trying (and horribly failing) to wrap presents with...40 minutes left by the time this is posted... crap.
Might try making a North Pole 40k fandex and throw Tau against Necrons and see what happens if I have time.

Same as everyday, really. Just a bit rainy outside.

Back from university, sitting around my parent's house waiting for my dad to finish up some holiday prep so we can magnetize some pathfinders and a hammerhead together (family time is family time).

Then I'll be frantically assembling and painting my army for the 3000 point per person 3v3 semi-apocalypse game scheduled for Saturday morning. There's no way I'm painting everything, but my objective is no grey plastic!

I'm heading out of town to spend the night with my mom and her family. It's not too warm and the skies are clear. So... boring.

It's not the fact that I'm going to Disney World (granted, I haven't been in almost 25 years so I'm sure it's changed a lot), it's the fact that my mother-in-law is going too. I don't even like going over to her house, let alone spending 5 days in Florida with her!

The beans are in the crockpot and they do smell good.

A large breakfast/brunch is being cooked right now. Eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, coffee, cream cheese, and grape jelly are ready to go.

Going to be opening presents in about an hour.

It is sunny and about 45 degrees F right now.

Light breeze out of the north.

Yeah, I would be working tomorrow as well (it would have been my Friday) but I since I'm going out of town I got someone to cover for me, which is a pretty good deal for him because he'll get 12 hours of time-and-a-half plus eight hours of straight time to hang out in a mostly empty data center.

well, its snowing very slightly where i'm at, and i'll be at work from 3 til probably close to midnight, and given i work with kids, its gonna be a very busy night

Im having a horrible holiday, had the worst freezing rain in years so spent the last 2 days literally taking a metal pole to the ground so Im sore all over, and now I have to do my brothers chores because he's "busy"

Well my son just nearly killed himself. He is nearly 3 and maanged to open 3 doors, a gate and a heavy exterior door (while under his granny's care) to escape the house. He was apparently on his way to see the ducks in the river, luckily he didn't get very far (but he did manage to cross a road).

He is the naughtyest, yet luckiest, child that I know.

Just putting the finishing touches to my roast Goose and opening a bottle of Pinot Grigot..Life is hard…

I'm celebrating xmas early with my boys and my future wife.
