year of our Emperor 2013 is done... bring in '14!

Lets hear them goals, true believers... or should we call them resolutions? XD

For this January, I'm looking to get fully painted whatever Dark Angels stuff I have which includes:

Company Master with funky helmet and cape (its a finecast piece).
Company Master from Dark Vengeance
Librarian from Dark Vengeance
Int-Chap Seraphicus from Dark Vengeance
Ezekiel
Belieal
Sammael
A Chaplain on a bike
A Ravenwing Command Squad (champ, apoth, standard)
A Deathwing Command Squad (champ, apoth, standard, dude w/ PC, other dude).
A Deathwing-themed Dreadnought
2 Regular green Dreadnoughts
9 Company Veterans
12 Marines with Boltguns
4 Marines with Plasmaguns
4 Sergeants with Bolt pistols and chainswords
9 Assault Marines
1 Assault Marine Sergeant with Powersword
4 Scouts with sniper rifles
1 Scout with a missile Launcher
1 Deathwing Drop Pod
2 Regular green Drop Pods
6 Razorbacks

For January (which is going to be a BUSY BUSY BUSY month nonhobby wise)

Try out my new airbrush.
Buy primer/paint (potentially) for my BT project that I skipped on last month

If I touch models, it will hopefully be some dreadball minis

modest goals for January:

1. paint up the 5-man tac marine squad I'm currently assembling
2. assemble and paint a 5-man LotD melta squad

stretch goal will be to start work on either a stormtalon or a TFC.

Finish my squad of Death Shroud terminators (4)

I'd like to finish off my Dark Vengeance.
I've got the Termies, Tac marines and all of the chaos force to complete. That hopefully should be doable.

Well it just so happens that I'm getting back into 40k, so this year I'll be painting a new tyranid hive fleet, reviving 8 year old models, and really getting into customising, sculpting and painting in general

Paint 2 Dark Angels AoBR Dreadnoughts

Stretch goal - complete 1st Dark Angels Tactical squad.

I'm going to try and actually finish painting something! (I'm good at starting and not finishing.)

My goals for January are focused around Judge Dredd:

* Finish the Manta I started on Christmas break
* Paint a squad of Judges (5 or so)
* Paint 2 Lawmasters (started on one already)
* Construct some city terrain (I have a lot of MDF from Spartan and Micro Arts coming from the Spikey Bits sale)
* Order more terrain from CNC Workshop when they add the Garbage Truck and Helicopter, and order from Warmill when they get more acrylic

For Jan / Feb I'd like to finish a LandRaider , two Landspeeder , two Dreadnoughts and a marine squad.

After that I have a lot of conversions planned including a Baneblade , a LandRaider, another Dread and two Valkyries.

And a NurgleNaziZombie Traitor Guard force to finish.

And my sons WHFB Dwarves to finish basing.

Looks like I'll be busy then ......

Finish my Broadsides (all 6 + drones) and my Riptide!

Happy new year everyone!

The way things are at the moment I will have a lot of time this month, so my goals for the are:

Finish the Kroot that I started many, many months ago. (just started this afternoon, just need a couple of highlights, some washes and varnish)
Paint up the FoW Strelkovy company I put together last month
Assemble 5 sherman tanks and 5 sherman firefly tanks.

My good friend has a late xmas gift for me, I know it is tanks, but not what kind, I will probably build and paint those too.

After having my first game of the year yesterday and seeing all the talent on the table I've been galvanised to crack on with my ultramarines and imperial fists armies, whist doing a few kitbashs for fun. pictures to come soon hopefully.

January is simple 2 models for my upcoming nid force, a winged tyrant and a tevrigon

Regularly update my blog with my WW1 Imperial Guard project progress. I'm hoping I can at least last a few months before losing interest!

Finish a razorback
Finish a 5 man assault squad
Build and prime 20 night gobbos
Build and prime 10 savage orcs
Finish a dakini tacbot

And if I get all that done, get some khador built and primed!

My goal isn't so much what I would like to paint, as how to paint them. My goal is more along to paint to my full potential. I get impatient and try to rush through steps, or cut corners and while the mini turns out OK, it's not, "Wow, I'm proud of this." So I'm using the models I have put the time and patience into as motivation to do that with all of them so when I pull them out of my Battlefoam case I can be proud and know I did my best when showing the guys at the lgs.

Making some progress... got most everything for my DA painted up... just have to finish building 2 dakka preds... then prime them and prime Ezekiel... then paint those things plus a drop pod and Sammael. Looks like I'll finish this month after all.

Looking back at your list, that's a huge achievement! Good effort. I should get all my stuff ticked off too. Just the assault squad to finish detailing. I also smashed my stretch goal - ALL my khador are built and primed! I also base coated another two dakini tacbots, so a pretty productive month. I also put together a spreadsheet of monthly targets, that'll hopefully get at least one faction for each game system fully painted by the end of the year (whfb, 40k, Warmachine, infinity and dust).

I promised myself know new armies until I finished painting what I had of my Dark Angels... there's so many cool things coming out though so I'm pushing to get stuff done haha.

Also got a dust axis squad dismantled, cleaned up, reassembled, some fairly complex bases done, and re-primed! It's been a good month. Feeling smug.

Instead I moved, had a weekend convention for a group I'm in, and then two weeks of tradeshows for work.

But I did put together 1 deadzone model!

progress was a bit slower than planned. got the 5-man tac squad finished up and I'm about half way through assembly and prep for the LotD squad. company party tomorrow night and a tattoo session friday night, so I won't be making any further progress this month

Didn't finish the Manta, but I do have it 80%.
Judges mostly done. Just need to base.
Didn't quite finish the Lawmaster.
Not only constructed some of the city terrain - but almost all of it, plus painted and treated. Woot!
Ordered from Warmill, but not CNC.

I made more progress than expected. I really got taken by the terrain construction, and had lots of fun with that.

Well, The kroot are finished including basing, though I might still add some tufts of grass and possibly some Blood for the blood god.
FoW Streklovy are almost completely painted, they just need a couple of straps etc painted on and some washes.

Shermans and Fireflies are all built and the Xmas gift turned out to be Panzer IVs, they are also built and primed.

I think I've done okay.
