That picture of Shredder is a joke, right? Some "fan" with photoshop? If that's real, Bay has proven himself to be the biggest gak-head director in Hollywood. Words cannot describe how much of a colossal asshat he is. My childhood is actually offended at that image. The old turtle movies were great-they each played their roles perfectly, Shredder was dangerous but not so over the top as to be laughable...this Shredder is dumber than the Rhino costume Giamatti was wearing at the end of ASM2.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

If it wasn't for those stupid Edward scissors hands, I think shredder would look pretty damn awesome. Is it too late to change that?

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Is it too late to remove Michael Bay from the film?

He is the Executive Producer, so doubtful.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

I feel Michael Bay needs be supervised by an adult.

"Now Michael, it's not nice to disrespect the source material, we talked about this. Now stop adding knives to shredder and go to your room."

He slices, deices, he makes cuts fires with ease, order your Shredder now, the new must have kitchen appliance.

In other news, I for see this being a redbox or netflicks movie, not something I will spend theater money on. I actually think the turtles look interesting, but still this is screaming netflicks or redbox to me at least.

I wonder if it is just a crazy angle, or some advanced suit, or something.

This picture looks a lot more "normal":

Maybe he was trying to tie in a product endorsement deal:

The Ninja needed to get it's inspiration somewhere, and the shredder was already taken

With so many redesigns and changes in the movies and comics it makes me miss the original Shredder.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I would say it is because it knows shame, but you can still embed Transformers 4 trailers so that can't be it.

I will have to say that the new trailer makes me think the movie will not be as bad as I previously thought.

Notice how I never said "good", however.

The new trailer takes away a lot of my reservations, but I'm still not too sure.

I will go into it with a more open mind, though.

It is true that the new trailer actually makes the movie seem more palatable.

+1pt for the Batman voice reference. I chuckled at that. -10000pts for the can-opener of doom being real. Feth you, Michael Bay, for turning my childhood into an abortion. I hope Megan Fox chokes while biting your nuts off.

Eh, it's not like TMNT was ever exactly a masterpiece. It's not like he's ruining Evangelion or The Lord of the Rings.

Evangelion isn't a masterpiece either, and is on par with TMNT. I suppose that might have been the joke though.

Having seen the latest trailer, Shredder is now nothing more than spring activated knives on top of spring activated knives on top of flick knives on top of knives. He's like the unholy offspring of Edward Scissorhands and a Swiss army knife.

I don't really know about the rest of the trailer, because the turtles' noses still look stupid, and I can't take Shredder seriously. I think it was better than the first trailer, but that doesn't say much.

At the very least, it's overhyped.

FTFY

Something doesn't become one of the most beloved, respected, celebrated and analysed works of all time in its home country (and outside) without being pretty fething good. We're not just talking "popular" here either- it's one of the most influential and critically acclaimed works ever made in Japan.

I will agree it's something of a Marmite series (either you love it or hate it) but denying its sheer magnitude as a work of art is just daft. But then Dakka does seem to have outrageously awful taste, so I don't know why I'm surprised. This is the same forum where "Failco$t lololololol" is considered the height of cutting wit.

I think I'll be going before things escalate...

You do realize we are talking about the guy who directed the Transformers Movies, Armaggeddon and lets not forget about the office bombshell! Pearl Harbor!

Did you expect anything less from this director? His shots are pretty but his stories are all terrible, cliched and his art direction needs work. As he tries to pander to the family. But fails completely, In that he makes millions and millions of dollars. :/

From whom are unforgiven we bring the mercy of war.
