So, from what I can see, the worst TIE Defender pilot, at pilot skill 1 still comes in at 30 points. - Ouch!

It also introduces the 'Ion Drive' card, it seems...

Cards seem to be:

Munitions Failure, Predator, Outmaneuvered, Ion Cannon and Ion Pulse Missiles.

Ok, not really. While I think the TIE/D has a bit of being a Mary Sue craft in the videogames, I still like it's inclusion for nostalgia's sake if nothing else. I'll probably do like I did for the TIE/B where I have more than can ever practically be fielded because I like how it looks, damnit! Going to be an expensive year in X-Wing...

The Imp ships seem pretty cool, too, although I am more interested in the Phantom than the Defender.

These are all really cool. I think those E Wings are top notch though. I normally prefer the uniformity of the Imperial ships, but the E-Wings look like a nice design for the Rebels.

Oh, wow. I don't think I ever really needed anything in my life until I saw those Z-95s, and now I can't imagine ever needing anything more.

I guess the 1/280 scale for the Tie Defender is a typo rather than some odd re-sizing (unless they cut the mould wrong?)

the number is blurry so i could be wrong but it looks like the lowest pilot is base 30 points

My two cents, I am a little sad that the Outrider and the Assault Gunboat did not make it this round, but I can see getting everything but the Phantom, I still think it is an ugly ship. On the other hand, I thought the E-wing was a bit bigger, I would love to see a shot with it against an X-wing.

The E Wing model does look rather disappointing to be honest.
Oddly enough, I'm loving the TIE Phantom.

If I remember right, the TIE Defender was a bit of a mary sue ship... But that's why the 'baddies' got it in TIE Fighter, you spent far more time flying against them than actually in one.

Now, the Missile Boat on the other hand.... Well, lets just say, the upgrade bar isn't long enough for that bad boy.

E-Wing and TIE/d. Now we're talking. I don't play this game, but if they keep expanding the line like this then I might be tempted. Assault Gunboat, Missile Boat, K-Wing and R-41 Starchaser next please!

Being privy to only the films and a novel or two I read when I was about 10 and long since forgotten I'm genuinely pleasantly surprised at the amount of ships available in the Star Wars universe, I had no idea there were so many!

That Tie Defender looks amazing!

Well.. I guess I know what I'm doing with $60 this year. I'll definitely pick up the TIE Defender and Headhunter as doubles but I might get the other two if the upgrade card options are cool as well (but not for the models.. similar to the HWK-290).

I'm going to guess that these will be the "just in time for Gencon" releases this year with stores getting them a few weeks later.

Surprised there's no 'Beam Weapon' slot for the TIE/d. The mini-tractor beam in TIE Fighter was a wonderful thing.

Me too, even though the E wing sounds like the better fighter from the description. I am terrible at gauging effectiveness until I field something though!

In this case the distinction is justified.

The Z-95 was an old fighter by the time the X-Wing showed up, and the E-Wing was meant to replace the aging X-Wing, so one being better than the other makes sense.
