The few miniatures they have look great, but I just can't seem to get myself to pledge for something that has so few models completed... this is really in it's infancy.
I absolutely love the idea, but am not sure I want to take the risk myself until they are further along with the models (or basically have any models, other than the 2 renders, although the cast of the one model looks nice).

I've ditched my DBX pledge - still have too much Deadzone stuff to go for more Mantic at the minute - plus, the sculpts are pure crap, with perhaps the exception of the Asterians.
Guildball looks much more interesting, better sculpting and higher quality generally. I may upgrade to four teams in the end. Hopefully, this will gain some traction now the stretch goals are shorter too.

I don't need a million miniatures to justify my pledge, but I can see the appeal of that.
I'm just glad these guys have been successful.
Great sentiment. I've been spooked on Dreadball's potential quality issues (thanks guys!) but haven't pulled my pledge yet. I may switch that over to this game before long. The aesthetic here is certainly more pleasing.

The latest update has little print outs so you can have a game with the test rules! Pretty cool, imfo.
I'll be swerving DBX until Mantic addresses the gods-awful casting in my Dreadball KO set (Apologies if this is a repeat comment - I have made it elsewhere but not sure where!)

I'm surprised there hasn't been more discussion of this- it's had a few more renders posted, and 2 new guilds coming apparently (one already "in", and the other "coming soon").
The 2 WIP renders:

I'm watching this at the $1 level for now. The artwork is nice, and that one mini they've produced turned out really well. I just don't know if I can justify another board/skirmish game in my life.
That beer swinging brute is pretty fun, but I kind of wonder how good it will look as a mini. What do you guys think?
BTW, have they indicated when you'll have to finalize your pledge choices? Because it looks like the minis are ending up quite different from the concept art, so I wouldn't really want to settle for any specific teams before I've seen the actual minis I think.

There is a game play and Interview update with BOW recently posted, could the OP or someone with more technical skills than me link it to this thread?
It is well worth a view and I like the game play and what I have seen of the miniatures. ....my one complaint, you have to buy the templates, dice and rule book all as additional extras (if you want them) @around £30 for the three where I think a better idea would have been a starter box of two teams with these included at a better price.

I am not to sure why this KS is not doing a better than it actually is, the couple of models they have produced look good as does the concept designs.
I think "couple models" explains it perfectly...
75,000 pounds with four days to go for a game most had never heard of is pretty good, I think! If they knock it out of the park with fulfillment, there'll be even more interest for future things from them.

Yep, it's still a very pricey game, per model. I like everything I see except for the price (esp. after there's no longer the KS discount, since I know I won't have enough to buy in more than a pair of teams).
At Golem we have had lots of experience with kickstarters at every level now in the industry, but I can say now that never have chosen to work on metal production casts over resin masters!. It's not that the resins were bad or that the metals were better, I chose the production metal to show you guys how great the quality of the Guild Ball miniatures range is!
Shark was great to paint, enjoy!!!
There are more pics and updates to come on our FaceBook Page

Too many other campaigns running right now, Adepticon is a mere two weeks away, and Mierce KS 2.5 is a mere 4 hours away!
Still, this campaign looks to have been quite successful, so hopefully this means they'll be off and running and doing well for years to come!
