This bat rep is double the awesome! Not only are we trying out the new Tyranid Living Artillery formation, but we are also giving Noah a challenge match to see if he can pilot his Tau to a spot on Team Zero Comp!

I am amazed he didn't target the venomthropes with his riptides. He could of instant killed them in one turn and removed your cover for the game. Well played by the nids. Biovores are amazing, and if you give them the equivalent of prescience than that just makes them that much better. Good run by the nids. Are the formations tournament legal?

All critique aside, well-played Reece, the Nids are doin work finally!

Yeah, his one big mistake was not killing the Venomes, they shut down his shooting on turn 3-4, that was what allowed me to put the nail in the coffin. Other than that, he played a good game.

Like you said, having essentially a never fail guide on 3 units a turn is so good, plus you can take 3 more heavies, which is bad ass. Very, very good formation.

We are going to allow some of the Formations into our tournaments but count them as taking an ally. That way you can't go too crazy.

Thanks! Yeah, I made two mistakes that felt big at the time (forgetting the Ethereal) but it ended up not mattering. When you have 8 TMCs, you can bounce back from a mistake as your army is so resilient.

I knew I had to bum rush him and that I would take heavy casualties, which I did, but the survivors cleaned up once they got there.

Your tervigon is awesome!! It's also 20 points cheaper than everyone elses ;-)

Doh! Hahaha, you are right, I was playing old points on accident.

So, my list was actually 10pts over (I was playing 10pts down).

Thanks for the Living Artillery formation batrep. I've been looking forward to this one as much as I have to Skyblight, mainly because I don't want to purchase another 3 harpy/crones!

Great report again Reece! This goes to show that all Nids really need to be decent was some extra force organization slots. Watching these reports are getting me excited to start trying out my new Nids. Cant wait till I get my Crones, Exocrines and Gants from you guys as well as my Gargoyles from eBay!

I'll be playing a 1500 point game this evening vs Eldar with my space dinosaurs, also using the Artillery formation. I have all the models necessary for Skyblight (plus an extra crone for lulz) but i think that is a bit OP for my opponent who is new to the Eldar codex.

I'll chime in either here or on the main tactica thread with how it goes, possibly even a batrep if i can remember to take pictures.

It was a turn 5 tabling. His army is currently "battle force" style (1 wave serpent, 1 falcon, no bikes or warp spiders etc). Still, it feels good to hand out such a mighty blow.

We tried out the Skyblight formation tonight vs. Jy2's tournament winning Cron Air...wow. I won't spoil the end for anyone but it was a brutal game.
