What is the best ally for Orks? I was told that IG Tau and CSM were good but what about eldar?

Eldar could work, but there big boost as an ally is as battle brothers using psychic powers to boost everyone. You can't do that with orks.

It's going to depend on the weaknesses in your particular Ork list, really. I think Necrons is the best in general, they provide AA, mobile scoring, and a better fast assault unit (in Wraiths) than Orks have natively (Nob Bikers are just too expensive)

I got a really speedy army great against IG becuase I'm fast and anti-tank- tankbustas on a trukk with rokkit!- I just want another army just to have better psychic attack. Got zhardnsark and some nobz on warbikes so I'm alright in power and speed.

Well you could go expensive and take CSM. Grab Be'lakor or a Black Mace Prince, some cultists, and a Baledrake. Not a cheap allied option, but certainly fits "psychic attack"

Eldar do not do Psychic attack, they do psychic buff and de-buff, that's their thing.

i took eldar as an allie once with my orks and did very well, i took a autarch 2 waveserpeants and 3 warwalkers w/ BL SL combo. Everyone is gonna focus on the waveserpeants the first 2 turns then your warwalkers come in (outflank them) and by the time the opponent knows what hit them your orks are in their face

I agree, Orks will definitely benefit from anything that provides a "shoot me first" unit or two. So Tau, while totally Not Psychy, can put a shiney Riptide up, as a "greater good" Piniatta Try costing out a Commander with two guard suits, a handful of Fire Warriors, and a Riptide....

Or a basic load of Eldar, say a Spirit Seer, 3 Wraith guard, and a Wraith lord, or Knight...maybe toss in a Wave serpent..?

Grey Knights...Good Armor, Psychic, and can be a definate distraction.
