Wrote up a quick dataslate like homebrew for Doomrider. He's an HQ choice for both Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Daemons. Link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/68j0yb3rgmtqaf0/Doomrider.pdf I started with a Chaos Lord and then added in almost all of his 3rd edition rules. He's now a Chaos Lord on a Jetbike with Strength 5, 4 attacks, a Plasma Gun, Power sword, and more. Most importantly He now has Daemonic Instability making him more reliable than in 3rd edition. I gave him a new Special Rule, Summoned, which allows him to join units without Daemonic Instability.

For a chaos-lord statline, AND mark of slannesh, AND speed daemon, it really really seems like he should have initiative 5 or 6.

Totally agree that he needs more Init.
Is his T:5 including the bonus from his bike?
A TL Meltagun on a jetbike seems pretty powerful, is this from the fluff?
Perhaps needs a small points increase depending on the answers to the above but hes certainly not overpowered and I'd be happy to play against him.

A few issues I have.
1. Initiative 4 on a Lord of Slaanesh is a bit silly. I assume you forgot to add the bonus from the Mark of Slaanesh, but even then as a lord of Slaanesh I6 should be wear hes at.
2. Speed Daemon, The first part of the rule is fine, but seeing that he already gets Fear from being a Daemon, maybe give him Soul Blaze instead?
3. Why does he have a plasma gun? did he have one in 3rd and i just forgot? I just want to know the reason why he has it.
4. Sigil of Corruption and Daemon seems again redundant, does he really need a 4++ save when hes already getting a 5++? I can live with this.

T5 is including the bonus from the bike.
the Twin-Linked Meltagun is straight out of his 3rd edition Codex Entry.
1. I upped his initiative to 6 from 5.
2. Changed Fear to Scout in his Warlord Triat
3. He did have one in 3rd edition.
4. He had a 4++ in 3rd edition. Daemon is there because he is a Daemon Prince.
I also gave him Kor'sarro Khan's Special rule allowing Chaos Bikers to become troops.

Much better mate. The plasma gun still seems so random to me, but if he had it in 3rd then well...whatever

Nurgle bikers as troops? Yes please. I guess that takes away slots from helturkeys, but I still want it. Although it's kind of odd that his warlord trait allows you to take bikers with the Mark of Khorne, a god who hates Slaanesh and vice versa.
But I'm not complaining because CSM troops suck anyway, bring on the bikes!

So you're encouraging undivided? I thought people were always complaining about undivided.
Undivided is an anathema to me as a demons player. By taking undivided you increase your chance of being hurt by warp storm from 5/11 results to 8/11 results.
