The rule states that bike squads of at least 5 models can be taken as troops.... would this count the attack bike or not, a friend of mine insisted that it does not, but the attack bike is a model. His reasoning is that it's becasue it is purchased as an upgrade

Attack bikes are models. If you have 4 bikes and an attack bike how many models do you have?

A: 5, and as such they can be troops since they satisfy the 5 models bike squad.

He is wrong. The attack bike is not an upgrade. It is an additional model that can be added to the unit and so counts for the 5 model minimum.

This is what I thought, just wanted some confirmation. Thanks guys
