Ohh dear god, dont bring up scale pulease.

According to the creator of the KS, it is quite probable that by the end of this week the Troll Patriarch will be added as an add-on item (independent from the SG's).

And a small bit of fluff on the trolls (again written by the KS creator):

"The Patriarch is the biggest of all the trolls, the head of his clan. They wander the Underdeep in search of violence, food and above all their fondness for swords. They love em and collect many of them. Only the Patriarch gets to fulfill his wanderlust and only when he falls or does not return can another take his place at the head of the clan."

Curious what this troll shall look like. I'm also wondering if he can be chosen as one of our models for those of us in for one of the bundles.

If he goes in as an add-on only he won't be able to be picked as part of one of the bundles

(Minion will be gambling that enough backers want him and add cash for him to pay for the art/sculpting costs as he won't be paid for by the stretch goals as currently listed)

I've had some the art back for the Troll Patriarch. Its not ready to show yet but I thought I should let you know that progress is being made! I should have the full artwork by the end of the week.

Ok... so I got carried away and promised I would add another monster to the KS. This guy is the Troll Patriarch, a really big monster for your games. He is armed with a colossal sword and his armour is made up of "bits" scavenged from other races. His left arm has begun the slow process of turning into stone and is therefore gnarly and rock-like.

This miniature will stand at a huge 66mm to its eye-line and the creature is on its haunches! He is a huge guy. I have had to revise the costs for this guy as he is bigger than the other Brutes (the exception is the Hulk of course). I did say he would be £24 but after working out costs he will be £26. The guy will take up a lot of resin!



I will let you know how to get hold of this guy on Friday. He is only available through the addon store for price above and his appearance will be dependent on us hitting a Pledgers and Funding goal... so if you want him... get your friends to pledge!!!

I am also working on getting one print done and a couple of casts of the Ironshield at some point this week. It will be tight for the end of the KS but hopefully we can get it done!

I was never 100% in to the first variation, but those second two look phenomenal.
This is definitely one of those "I have no current use for these at all!" kickstarters but I think my pledge is going to hang in there.
I can start a new case of barely opened shipping boxes next to my Mierce pile.

I'm glad to say that those guts look fantastic in the end.

By "miniatures", you mean Renders, right? They're not 3d prints there.

What are the chances the Ironshield print comes back before the end of the campaign? I know you said it's going to be close. If it looks like it won't make it, maybe they can snap some photos of it for you at the printer, rather than lose the time in shipping? Just to get a quick visual of it . Personally, I think it's going to print fantastically because it is nice and chunky and should lend itself very well to being a physical model.

Being brutally honest, the original Flesh Golem put me off. Thought is was a poor sculpt. Now I'd be tempted to get one of the other variations.

The variations are enough for me to consider picking one up, so that says something. Never been a fan of gut spilling zombie types.

2 questions:

1) Will there be a $1-in and bump-it-up-in-the-pledge-manager option for this? I'd like to be in, but not this close to Christmas.

2) With the larger pledges, like the 124 and 170-quid levels, do you still only get 1 each of the stretch goal rewards as extras?

Because if not, Just looking at them casually (ie not sitting there with a calculator) but it seems like it might be cheaper to go in for 2 or 3x of the smaller 64 quid deal and get more of the stretch goal extras.

Hi everyone...

It has been a few days since the last update as things have been busy here. I have been chasing down our Ironshield print. I have been told it will be with us soon but it will be tight. I should have it by the end of the campaign.

Instead we have been working on the variations for this awesome beastie as we did for the Flesh Golem. Here are the final pieces as they would look on your wargames table or RPG playing surface. The only slight difference will be the angle of the weapons. All the current weapons are held at the same angle but this will be changed by the time they go to print.

Sadly looks like I'm not going to be in on this one, only want the Zombie Hulk and I don't think we're going to get it unlocked

I'm in, I just grabbed one of the Mega Bundles.

Hopefully the Minotaur & Zombie Hulk get unlocked before the end!

Unfortunately this has slipped back about 900 in the past 2 days.

I had really hoped for the zombie hulk.

Geez, it really did drop. It dropped past the Deathscale, even. Looks like I won't be getting my gladiator minotaur after all.

No, the Deathscale is still funded. It dropped below ten grand... not sure why?

I suspect a lot of people might have been sitting on a pledge hoping to scrunch the money together, but now they've started Christmas shopping and at the same time lots of shiny new Kickstarters are coming... this is probably an easy campaign to drop as it's not a complete package in the same way as a boxed game or terrain collection. These are not even specific proxy minis for some other game. They are "just" beautiful miniatures that people want because they look great.

Maybe I'll get the Deathscale then if it's still unlocked.
