Who here has decided to make a model to represent a real or fictional person, and then use them in a 40k game?

Recently I and one of my friends has had this idea.
In my friend's SM army, I am a chaplain of the 3rd company, and in my new IG army he is my Lord Commissar (He shall be leading the charge. All the charge. "GLOREH FOR THE FERST MAHN TO DIE!! CHARGE!!!")

No pics yet though

I never leave home without my MC Hammer doll. I play him as a Monstrous Creature (MC) who poops out Scarabs...my friends let me give him a Thunder Hammer. He looks a little out of place in a Necron Army, but GW told me to Forge a Narrative!

But for real, this actually seems like a fun fluff idea.

Yes, the idea is that eventually all of out friends would eventually have a killcount, and them be faced with the choice of killing their representative, or ignoring a potentially devastating unit (for some tension in games, besides rules arguments).

I am currently working on a Commissar model to be Commissar Fuklaw, of the Angry Marines, who might show up as part of an allied Inquisitorial force to my Sisters.

Just because he's on holiday, see, and a war broke out. He's come along with the Inquisitor to get stuck in.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Nice

There shall be much blamming and raging, I presume?

I have an IG company commander that inadvertently ended up looking like Adolf Hitler due to the way a wash pooled and dried on his face. Plus he has head with the slicked back (black) hair...

I tend not to play with people I don't know and would probbbbably keep him hidden if I did, but we tend to go out of our way to make sure he dies in every single game haha. I also fear putting him in any position of power.

It's his true reincarnation.

I propose the following methods of death:

-Flamethrower
-Mines
-Acid pools/throwers
-Viral bombs
-Disembowelment by CSM Mutilator
-Deatomization by Gauss Flayer
-Blast from an Earthshaker cannon.
-Flattened by a superheavy.

I made Sarah Kerrigan as a count-as Broodlord.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I should keep a running tally of all the ways he's been murdered. I do know for a fact that in the last game I used him he was killed in CC by a Stompa. Orks gave him the D hahah

We have a rule, in that if your the first person to kill a new model you name it. I named a friends female daemon prince the "Queen of Blades"

I have the old models for ratlings in my IG army. Long story short, it was like turn 1 my ratling squad was smoked besides one model which then proceeded to snipe the hell out of my brother the rest of the game while managing to make armor / cover save after save and thus lasting the whole game. Although I didn't repaint the model or mod it in anyway I painted the base around the edges in gold and from that day forth, he was known as, "Bilbo Snipeins".

No model is more feared in my army besides him and, RIP, Guile from Street Fighter 2 (Marbo).

My SM army is modeled as Deathwatch so I have made a point of including at least one model from each chapter that my friends play.

Unfortuantely no. I also have to do some repairs as her blades fell off.

I have a Heldrake I sculpted and paint as Ridley. Shame we live in different countries or they could face each other!

I have far too many of these to be healthy. In the CSM, Snowflame avatar of cocaine leads one squad of my bikers. Rock Knight leads one squad of noise marines, and I'm working on Mr. B Natural for another. Cultist Chan leads my camping squad. Then of course there are the female not-marine squads led by Lady Gaga. (Pretty sure she worships Slaanesh) Wip; a Baron Harkonen to stand in for a Nurgle lord, a squad leader based on Scorpion from MK, and a herald based on Angela from Night of the Demons. I had a princess Molly Daemon and Discord Drake just for S&G as I knew a couple of players hated MLP. (You know who you are ) Of course Ironwill was cool enough to make me a Dash marine, who currently leads my fallen Rainbow Warriors.
On the more canonical side (kinda) my Chaos lord is Slaaneshi Draigo, one squad of bikers follows the now headless Doomrider.

As for traitor guard I have beastmen as vets led by gunnery sergeant Torgo. (And his lucky bolter 'Hand of Fate') I had a Reb Brown Marbo (because one fake Stallone deserves another.) The company commander model reminded me so much of M. Bison I just decided to go with it. I'm finishing up my Cyberdemon Imperial Knight. I just inherited my friends guard which has versions of every player in the venue as well as a Tank Girl vehicle I'm proxying as chaotic Pask.

Do you ever look back at something you just wrote and realize you've gone way overboard? Then again I am Slaaneshi, so too much is never enough.

I notice my posts seem to bring threads to a screeching halt. Considering the content of most threads on dakka, you're welcome.

I have a sternguard sergeant who may or may not be a deserter from the Blood Angels. I think his baroque armor and nifty face mask look much better in Salamanders green. In any event, I was unable to resist the urge to paint his mask to look rather Phantom-of-the-Opera-ish.

And for years now I've been collecting the bits to build a space marine character based on the Hanging Judges from Deadlands.

Every time I play a miniatures game, either my Batman miniature or my Darth Vader miniature sees some action.

Batman sees the most. So far Batman has been an arcanist commander in Malifaux, a warlords cohort, a monk in Dungeons & Dragons, and various unit commanders in Warhammer. And he never disappoints, except when he rolls a bunch of 1's and dies horribly. I guess even the Batman relies on the fortune of the dice-gods.
