A ten pound binder for thirty pounds of catalogues? What a bargain!

Oh wow! It looks just like those stereotypical law books you might find in prestigious offices! This has to be the finest quality binder I've ever seen. I don't get the WD weeklys, but I could use something this classy to hold my digital editions. I just need to figure out how to put the holes in the iPads without wrecking the screen...

What's so wrong with this? Many publishers of magazines do this (and some of those have prices as high as that, too).

Oh. Wait. This is GW we're talking about, right? Outrageous! What a scam!

Nothing at all. Every post in this thread has nothing but praise for this splendid binder.

Yes, but other publishers don't sell finealogues.

Thanks guys, you just blew out my sarcasm meter.

This is the sort of thing that could be free with subscriptions. But I’ll agree that it’s completely unnecessary.

They do. Most magazines have zero meaningful content, WD is not some freak of nature in that regard. In fact, since it happens to have rules from time to time, it's actually a step up from your average popular science or celebrity rag.

As for the binder?

That...um, that would actually be quite a cool idea. So long as its a small section of sprue, where 2 yrs worth of purchase gets you the Titan, I think it would be a cool thing. As long as prices weren't raised to do it-imagine a "free" Titan with a two-yr sub.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Cannot wait for them to do this for all the soft bound books still lingering about.

Or one for digital codices.

The hate is strong with this thread.
Honestly if this held 1 year of old white dwarfs I'd pick up a few of them to hold my hundreds of back issues I've been scanning.
Also other companies make moldline scrapers so I think there is a point to them.

Then again, this is a thread about something GW. People are obliged to hate.

To be fair, I'd wait for a review about the binder to tell us if the older books can be held within and not just the newer books.

It would be like GW for them to do that rather than make it inclusive for all books.

Ugh - never mind I've confused White Dwarf with Warhammer "Visions".

I'm from the future. The future of space

Given that GW doesn't manufacture products like this, I'm guessing they took a standard magazine or comic binder and had "white dwarf" stamped on it.

If you're looking for an alternative, just get transparent sheet protectors from your local office store and put them in a three ring binder. White dwarf is now like 30 pages or so and each issue should fit inside a page protector without too much trouble.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Ugh... on the one hand this thread will be full of GW bashing. On the other hand... well the binder is pretty unbelievable... to me anyways.

Let's try and keep it civil please... but to those who feel it is just a GW bash thread... sometimes, products just aren't great ideas to most people, and comments will reflect that. I'm not sure you need to hate GW to cock an eye-brow at this one in fairness.

Haters gonna hate. Of all the things to actually hate GW for, this really isn't one of them. A binder is inconsequential to nearly everyone on this site, so the hate being posted in this thread is little more than spam.

Breotan you are borderline breaking rule #1. Calling all of the posters above you haters, deciding their opinions are not justified universally and condemning their views as having no worth is not welcome. First and last warning on that. People have a right to their opinions. You can disagree if you like, but you can't rebut their views simply by saying they are invalid and spam. Thanks.

True enough, but that's a lot different than mindlessly spewing the same old tired rant against everything GW. Personally, I see this as no better or worse than those "collectors edition" items. Is it overpriced for what you get? Sure, but everything GW does is like that. Some gimmick item like this is barely worth a "meh." It's not like thousands of people were actually waiting and hoping for someone, anyone, to make a binder for their WD Weekly and then we're hit with this.
