Well Nids seem to be one of the big winners with 7th Ed so here's my take at 1850:
Combined Arms Primary
Hive Tyrant: 2 x Devourers, toxin, electroshock 250

7 FMCs with the Zoans being batteries for the 4 Flyrants. Everything just flies around shooting. Troops hide and try to avoid trouble.

Looks interesting! But it looks a little light on Synapse. You have 6 sources, and 8 that need it, But solo Zoeys are vulnrable to volume of fire. Other than that...please let us know how it works in play.
Late entry: I think I would have dropped one Crone, doubled the Zoey Broods, and spent the rest on more Gaunts...

Nasty, but lack of vector strikes and needing to land to claim objectives in missions (especially maelstrom) will really hurt IMO.
Not convinced nids are winners in 7th, hope I'm wrong as I've bought two crones recently and was enjoying their awesomeness in 6th.

Why lack of Vector strikes? You lose 1 hit to gain Ap2 on the others, for me that's a win. Why do I have 8 things that need synapse? Crones are Ld10 so don't need it, Venom hides in a bastion so only really the Termagants that need it.
Crones where big winners in this edition where shooty FMCs got a huge boon hence them and the Dakka Flyrants. The fact that there's effectively no down side to being grounded means your opponent has a choice. Snap shot at the Flyrants and risk getting charge with no chance to full Bs shoot it or ignore them and get blown apart. Win win really. If I get Warp Blast on 1 or 2 of them it just gets better.

Ah, we mean differant things when we say "needs Synapse". You only IB 1 in 12, so it is pretty safe. But I still look at that and say "needs Synapse". I also, in my dark, and negative way, expect to lose both Zoeys by Turn 2 Tops. so then there are just Tyrants left.....

That depends on if they can get at the Zoeys which will be hiding behind the bastion. Not impossible but will keep them alive longer. I'm expecting the Flyrants to do the heavy lifting with the Crones helping too.

Vector strikes lost d3 hits against ground targets, not 1, and MCs are the weakest they have ever been against vehicles with the ridiculous Smash nerf. I wish you luck but it's looking bleak from where I'm sitting, especially for assault which is what I enjoy the most. Oh well, my original primary army is Orks, so come on june, make me smile!

I don't see the smash nerf as ridiculous at all. In previous editions a CC MC was almost guaranteed to beat a CC Walker in combat every time. This restores the balance a little and gives Carnifexes a niche in the Nid list.
But this is not a CC list it is a shooting list that can CC if necessary. The buff the shooty FMCs in this edition is huge. The fact that they can't be shot at at full Bs ever unless you have Skyfire or ground them with Witchfires is amazing. Whilst Nids are one of the biggest winners from the FoC changes (whether or not you're playing with unbound).
