I'm thinking a jotww wolf priest + squad in a drop pod + longfangs to hang back
They are unlikely to ever be within 6" and can even drop onto an early objective near the enemy lines if needed.

I've been thinking Inquisiter with followes, Landraider... But I haven't been thinking too hard as of yet. Some Broadsides, or a Riptide would likely be the biggest game changer for Nids...

Hmm...odd thought do "Till the apoc" allies pool their Warp Charges? I assume yes....Nids with Inquisitor Divination, and Telepathy could be a very scarey thing. (I am thinking Invisable Carnifexen ) (Coteaz, Crypo-Hybrid!! )

An Imperial Knight. Fast enough to support, fills our anti-armor need, can avoid being within 12", has Objective secured, is supported by RT era fluff, and looks badass. Will draw firepower and can lay down some pain.
EDIT: Holy beep, why haven't I bought an Imperial knight yet?

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

No psychic powers can be cast, but they score. Also, fluff support:

It would actually be incredibly effective.

Yeah blue would have been nice but the red ones do go faster. I actually thought about modeling a grot with a paintbucket trying to paint the carapace red...
I really need to upload a new pic of this guy. I touched him up and repainted some stuff (like the flags) awhile back.

I think IG and IK are the big ones. However CSM with Melta PlagueMarines in a Rhino, and Nurgle Melta bikers are worth considering for fast survivable units (something else we need) capable of anti-tank that can tarpit stuff for the slower stuff of the Nid army, without dropping any of the high-toughness/+3 saturation that Nids bring, and still spending the bulk of their time out of the CTA range because of their speed. May be worth considering Lascannon Havocs or Nurgle Oblits as well.
Two squads of White Scars grav bikes + Centurions are probably also worth considering.

Well, what the fluff actually says is that the Tyranids gobble up Genestealer Cults just like everyone else. The Cult never really works alongside a Hive Fleet...it softens up a planet in advance of the invasion and then gets consumed with the rest of the planet's lifeforms when the Hive Fleet arrives.

Although somewhat gimmicky, I believe you can use Deathleapers Assassin brood + SitW from a Flyrant, plus Ahriman in a Raider to keep up, and have a bubble of -1 LD extended by any member of the Assassin Brood that stacks with SitW on Psykers, as well as stacked with -3 LD on a character from Deatheaper, allowing for a possible epic Psychic Shriek C-C-C-Combo from Ahriman now being allowed to cast it 4 times in a row. Add to this any rolls of Psychic Scream on your Flyrants which now don't count as shooting a gun, and that Ahriman can infiltrate 1-3 units of Zoeys (150 PTS for three solo Zoeys, take the ones who roll Scream ), you might be able to surprise the hell out of someone with this combo of lol. Probably doesn't require doing too much out of the ordinary either, half of that stuff is already in most lists, just build the rest of the list sensibly. Deathleaper Assassin brood is pretty underrated as well, and Ahriman is a boss regardless of what you do with him, and CSM can be great allies for Nids anyway as I mentioned earlier.

Taking Dark Eldar allies allows you to unleash Crucible of Malediction on Psykers forcing all models within 3D6 (average 10-11") to "pass a leadership test or be removed from play as they go stark raving mad. No saves of any kind are allowed." This could be kind of badass coupled with SitW and maybe Deathleapers ability on say, AN INVISIBLE BELAKOR, or farseer, or Fateweaver, or anything lame. As well as giving hell to GK and Daemon summoners, or anything with Psykers whatsoever. The best delivery for this is on a Haemonculi in a deepstriking Venom. 160 points gets you a Haemonculi, a squad of Wracks as troops to unlock the Venom, and completely satisifies the Allied Detachment FOC. Pretty damn cheap for the utility/cover/protection-against-dicks it adds, just build the rest of the list how you normally would. There is some other cool utility items he can take and also use in the same turn, including a template that ignores wound allocations and also removes models based on an individual toughness test for each model beneath the template, no saves allowed (15 pts), which is absolutely awesome and probably 100% worth it as well. 2++ rerollable crowd will not like. This is an ally that is NOT gimmicky at all. Chances are it's going to be worth its points regardless of whether they have psykers or not. That Shattershard will absolutely ace things in a T3 meta. Taking the Haemonculi in a unit of 9 Warriors instead in a Raider brings the entirety of the allied detachment up to 225 pts but allows you to immediately threaten anything not threatened by toughness tests, e.g. a Riptide is getting hit with 19 TL poison shots and a S8 AP2 Lance. Pretty fun.

I don't think the combo would work as well with Eldar I think that Crucible is only worth taking because we have so many tools to feth with Psykers LD in Tyranid. With Deathleaper Assassin brood and a Flyrant, a psyker character of your choice is at -5 to -7 leadership, average -6. But imagine the look on their face when you tell them their Fateweaver has to roll double 1's to not be removed from play - and you haven't even shot your guns at anything yet
