I've already got a pretty large collection of X-Wing, and with wave 4 and the Huge ships coming out, and the Rebel Aces expansion later this year I find myself spending more and more time trying to figure out where to put it all. I've got a pair of Plano tackle boxes already full to the gills (get it...gills) and I still haven't added 3 of the Huge ships I'm getting. I'm not a fan of battlefoam for my X-Wing since It's expanding and I like to keep my factions segregated. So what do you guys use? I'm looking for something I could use to keep at least all of one faction in one container, that I could reconfigure a little bit as new stuff comes out.

I keep the little plastic boxes that they come in and use those to store then in tupper ware. Cheap, effective and easy to lug around.

I have those metal cookie containers that I put them in. I attach magnets to the bottom of the bases and the minis stick to the containers pretty well.

I can't jostle them all over the place it does the job cheaply and effectively.

I've just got a big box at the moment that holds all my ships in their original packaging clear plastic holders.

What's more concerning for me, is the fact that I've managed to completely fill up my token box. - And another bag of tokens I don't use...

I really am looking more and more seriously at the KR Multicase boxes. - The thing is, they just aren't efficient for storing things.

Compel, what makes you say that? I find storing all my stuff in KR's as efficient as they come - With the ships stored fully assembled, set up takes seconds. I'd just get annoyed if I had to constantly assemble and disassemble ships now.

Waiting for the new huge ship trays to come out so I can order my third.

Basically, I've got a lot of ships and space is a bigger concern than setup time for me at the moment. Having effectively one of each release so far and intending to follow that in the future, the KR cases just don't seem suitable.

I have one of each large ship, and a minimum of two of each small (including aces), and three core sets, and I get each faction in a Kr case with room for 5 z95's, 2 Ewings, 2 phantoms and 2 defenders. I'll still have room for some more rebel ships, though the imperial one will be full at that point (though to be fair, there are 10 TIE fighters in there).

I reckon I'll get the two huge ships, playing stuff and my 3d asteroids in a third.

Different strokes for different folks, but I love the KR stuff. I store the movement dials and ID tokens in the slot with each ship too.

Someone on boardgamegeek did similar with a different Stanley organizer. Though those JR's are a fair bit cheaper at $8.00 off the shelf at Wal-Mart compared to $20+shipping.

I've just finished my small storage solution today. I'm using two stanley sortmaster juniors (came with a large one for £15) and a mantic bag I got with a mystery box months ago.

Only have a small number of ships at the moment, but the two front compartments should take my next two expansions until I have to start thinking about moving it into the large case.

More pics on my site.

Was at Harbor Freight yesterday and found some similar organizers to the Stanley ones for much better pricing, the only negative was that they don't connect together, but for the space and price I could do without (they still stack well).

I picked up one of this one:

And one of this one (to switch out some of the larger trays for smaller ones):
http://www.harborfreight.com/15-bin-portable-parts-storage-case-93929.html

They also have this one, which seemed deep enough to hold the Tantive and Transport, but since I don't own either yet I can't be 100% sure.

KR has something in the works that will hold the Tantive IV.

Their new tray holds a tantive, transport and 14 fighters.

Ended up with a custom cut Battlefoam tray to hold the load-out that I think I will need. I like it, but it ended up a lot deeper than I thought it would. I guess that means that when I end up with twice as much as I think I need I will have a place to put it all!

The only real downside is that the spots are so deep that it is pretty hard to get the ships back out, so the best way to store them seems to be to put them upside down with the peg in place, which makes it easy to lift them up.

Battlefoam has some pretty good pre cut foam that works so far. when the new wave hits ill just get some more pluck foam.

I seriously like this stuff, its expensive but would hold all the stuff I have and space for expansions, expensive, and about £40 to postto UK but very neat and professional.

I like KR stuff but their X-wing trays look very in efficient and need more cases for less stuff.

I haven't looked at Battlefoam yet.

Depends on your definition of inefficient. You can store 40 small ships in a kr case, fully assembled. This is more efficient in terms of set up time, and also saves on wear and tear of constantly putting your stuff together and pulling it to bits again. Not for everyone, but I love em.

I have two KR cases that hold 20 fighters each. Both are now full or practically full and I have all of Wave 4 (already 13 ships) yet to be stored plus three Imperial Aces boxes. TIE Defenders do not fit in these trays, either. I am also with you that I'd like to put more stuff in one box.

That there looks like you need to get rid of some old boxes...And start using actual cases instead of cardboard. AKA: personal problems, not a product problem.

Those are "actual cases," made by KR Multicase.

I use the same cases, but I have ditched the blisters and just put the ships straight in.

The X/A/Y Wings fit in on their bases: the TIE fighters, though, are *just* too big to fit, so I've got them sitting loose in spaces, but I do worry about them rattling about in there. Fine for storage, but I'll need to be careful when I move them around. I may get some squares of foam for the imps.

I also have a 3rd case which I am using for the tokens & cards. Very elegant solution!

Battlefoam has a 50% off sale today FYI. I got a fully loaded pack 432 for 100 bucks before shipping

Just got my multicase for my huge ships. £32 is a bit excessive for a couple of ships, but peace of mind and shiny foam is a good thing.

Not quite 50%. Almost all of their regular PACK cases are 25% off, but it's still a good time to get Battlefoam if you've ever considered it for your X-Wing stuff. I've been going back and forth on the 720, and with the sale I'm definitely leaning towards it.

I went back and forth all day on ordering a 432 because of how quickly my collection grew (insert Mistakes Were Made image, only it can now include the Epic ships and Waves 3-4). I didn't like their tray choices (and content) from the Horizontal set, mostly because I didn't see the point in dragging the transport and Corvette around all the time, nor do I think I'll ever own as many Phantom, HWKs and Y-Wings, etc. as their trays have slots for, but I like the idea of that layout so I ended up doing a custom one even though it was extra. Now the waiting game begins.

So I'm going to amend my post from above to say that for starting out the Stanley/Harbor Freight organizers are great. They're even great if you want to carry them around in a large bag. However, if you want something less bulky, going with custom foam (Battlefoam, Lasertouch, KR) is a good choice.
